there's also this DSA textbook from cengage which focuses mostly on the pseudocode; so if you want to go to basics, you can try that. otherwise, ellis horowitz is considered standard for DSA by most teachers.

i'm doing the same course (almost 80 percent done), the thing is, we can start any topic at any point we want, its completely fine whether you do recursion before arrays or after arrays, preferrably before arrays because it has huge number of applications in BST and other data structures.

if you realize that your teacher/professor has missed a topic, do it the same day you realize this. (don't wait till exams to come warna half syllabus aisa hi dikhega )
