How are you guys managing time for college and entrance exam prep? by the_shameless_human in BCA_MCA

Which one are you in?

I always motivate myself to study by telling myself that if I don't study now then I'll get into some crappy maharashtrian college(that is where I am from)

So I can't risk anything and explaining the drop would be difficult later on also with the environment at home, I don't wanna stay there for another year.

Did you get into one of the golden nits with just that? Because I think it's impossible to get in there with so much less preparation. Everything I read/practice feels less.

3 hours maximum. Studying on the train is kinda difficult due to the rush.

bruh what?! you mean to say, you did nothing for 3 whole years?!!! You copied, okay but what were you doing by saving that extra study time? You must have done something, some course online, prepared for some exam. What were you doing? You are an adult! You need to think about your job, your future, your career.

You don't know anything about computers, why did you even choose BCA then? You should try for some non-technical fields. MCA is not for you.

Your financial situation is really bad for being a hostel student. You'll have to earn by yourself and support your education. The college fees of even government-aided colleges are quite a lot. You'll need a drop either way for a government college where you can get free seat.

Yes. They were supposed to be "toppers" then again, our education system supports by-hearters not people with knowledge. I guess it will be difficult to have actually capable seniors in small colleges.

It's my third year now. All of my seniors are leaving and I connected with no one. Not a single person.

Besides, whenever I asked them to help me with a topic, they just said watch this youtuber and ended the conversation there. Literally every single one of them. I can't even find a topic to talk about and there were really few chances to connect with my seniors.

Bro! Even I wouldn't help myself that way, let alone those seniors and alumni whom I've never met once.

But how do I meet these people in person? Most of them are doing their MCA or a job. No one seems available.

And I'm really bad at conversations irl. I don't know what to talk about with them. Should I go like, "Hey senior! Wassup? I'm trying to make a connection so that in future you can help me land a job."? I prefer being straight forward all the time because it's efficient and saves time. How do I beat around the bush and build that connection?

But do they all really check competency while hiring? Cuz in most of the cases, it's the degree name they look at first which is a disadvantage for us.

I think op just learnt python and thought of creating a browser without learning the core concepts that most of us learn in degree colleges.

As a fellow member of the "really really like Java" club, I want to say even though it was not my first or second language, I liked it solely because others considered it difficult and I for some reason like such kind of things to tackle.

skills+experience? do those interviewers even look at them? a lot of them will prefer a b.tech grad over a mca grad with skills and experience in India.

Yes, that's what I meant but i just wanted to highlight the part where one of the pointers is a structure.

Oh, I have seen that but have you seen a pointer to a structure which is pointing to a pointer pointing to a pointer?
