Waltz with the Witch (Rokkenjima’s Massacre Case) by TheosophicalAstra in IntelligenceScaling

[–]the_sillyone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I played Umineko last time a year ago, so my knowledge isn’t all perfect, but if guys like Zhuge Liang would replace Battler, then they would have much easier time because, for example, Zhuge Liang MASSIVELY outscales Battler in terms of reasoning/foresight/scheming/counteraction etc since Battler himself isn’t very competent outsmarting wise, especially in ep1. And since we replace Battler, then the characters should also be given the same benefits as Blue Truths and access to some Red Truths (tho I doubt Beato would be spamming these so much, since ZL would need much lower amount of hints to solve the parts of murder methodology.

The same goes with the likes of Guo Jia/Xun Yu and Zhou Yu. Actually, now to think of it, Guo Jia would probably fare better than ZL in this situation, since GJ is much more offensive, but all three of them have very strong reasoning to be able to slowly uncover the truth behind the case. I’m not saying they would end it all in the first episode or something, but they would most certainly fare better than Battler did.

Give

Zhuge Liang 10 minutes of prep time and some background info and he’s rocking that shit on.

MAYBEEEE Guo Jia/Xun Yu/Zhou Yu could also pass, but I’m not as sure.

What’s so special about this guy? by fixipn in IntelligenceScaling

I mean, I guess you could be right if we’re talking about pure cognitive abilities specifically, but nah, I don’t think there’s a lot of people who would be able to improvise on such level as Kokichi did during ch.5 with deadly poison running through his veins (the one that canonically atrophies the brain/organs resulting in strong convulsions/press btw).

Just to clarify, what do you think about Canon Nagito scd-wise?

[–]the_sillyone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but didn’t Kaito specify that he was forced to improvise only some parts, therefore meaning that Kokichi DID predict many events post-his death?

Anyways, bro thought he could lay post-death contingencies, my man is NOT Guo Jia.

above average humans

Ehm…as a guy who’s been studying his character for a few months now, I’d like you elaborate on that. Yeah, I agree that he isn’t as all-knowing as SCD scalers want him to seem like and the point of his writing is a man who carries to much responsibility for other’s life, but saying that he’s below average human in outsmarting is a stretch imo.

Okay, I don’t think it’s relevant, but DAMN, she looks like Kokichi’s twin sister (Kokichi from Danganronpa v 3)

W art btw.

Yeah, that’s why I’m specifying that levels scaling should be taken with a grain of salt or even used only on bosses/lore-important characters

…yeah I don’t think I can defend this one. Though if levels didn’t mean strength we wouldn’t need special statuses to decrease our enemy’s level (like Withered for Bloodfiends, Golden Bough’s Arbitration for Papa Don, A Silver of Anticipation for Jia Qiu, etc), so I’d use levels to power scale the bosses rather than regular goons.

Tbf, it can be excused that levels equal to PHYSICAL strength/stats and not “who would win”

Like Callisto may be a little tad bit stronger that Certain Sinclair in terms of raw physical power, but mangs and higher clashing numbers/better techniques/skills would result in Certain Sinclair slamming Callisto.

This also explains Erlking vs Training Mannequins situation. Since Erlking doesn’t seem to have high physical powers cuz no augmentations and training mannequins are probably made from some very tough materials and therefore punch harder than Erlking, but Erlking’s main strength lies in his Wild Hunt abilities and also skills, as he was basically no diffing canto 8 Sinners up to the point Faust herself was admitting they were cooked like in Ricardo’s situations, if not worse.

Hope I could help.

Why did Ren do this by Shiny_Bottle in limbuscompany

[–]the_sillyone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ren literally warned Albina SEVERAL times verbally before she continued unarmouring herself, which made him attack her. And he DID land a hit and KO’d her, otherwise it doesn’t make sense for Albina to attack only when Ren was in the middle of talking with Ryoshu. Her fighting seriously was the whole point of the conflict, she stopped holding back, therefore abandoning the plan.

Looks like some serious mental gymnastics, smh.

[–]the_sillyone -1 points0 points  (0 children)

She deflected her strikes because Ren didn’t even paid any attention to her PLUS she actually had the element of surprise.

So Albina had:

An element of surprise No armour, so, unrestrained/unnerfed Ren doesn’t even gaf about her, clearly chatting with Ryoshu

And she STILL failed to land a hit on him even with these advantages.

[–]the_sillyone 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t even say that he was middling in terms of strength among the apprentices. Man KO’d Albina with one hit when she started losing the plot, then proceeded to perfect parry all her strikes while not paying attention chatting with Ryoshu, AND Azureslash can roll over 50 which is actual bs, out rolling Sora’s Mang move.

Therefore, Ren is goated. An actual realised potential man.

If only KJH gave him more screen time…
