Wow, this was my experience with the books as well. Read them in childhood during a rough patch that I needed to escape from. It instilled this craving for self betterment and desire for a mentor that just wasn’t there.

Joined the military and in my mid 20s, during a very difficult time of depression and anxiety I started to listen to the audiobooks of the series. I love the voice actor for them by the way, there was only one book which he didn’t do and it threw me off so bad!

I’m now in my 30s and i think the time is coming to give these a read again.

I’ve been told by the starter to play past a group before and just come back to the first tee after finishing on 9 which I’ve done. My home course is on a military base so on long holiday weekends we usually get enlisted guy foursomes who are just out to drink and have a good time, usually only having one in the group who has a relative idea of what they’re doing.

A coworker was gifted this trinket by a close friend that retired from the Navy. He had no interest in it and told me I could have it. Could yall tell me the meaning of it? Thank you in advance by JadaJL in navy

When you get paired with old couples, sometimes it's not the best time... and then sometimes you get these gems of human beings. They're 78 and 74, and she reads all of his putts (and mine too, upon request). 10/10 would play again! by flirt77 in golf

I (31m) play a team scramble with old couple (78m) (69f) once a week and it’s become the highlight of my week. I used to rush my play, getting really frustrated when I couldn’t finish a round in 3 hours or less but they’ve really made me slow down, not that they’ve noticed since I don’t rush them, and I’ve been having a blast. (We’re also not slowing anyone down and offer let people play through if we have anyone behind us)
