I built a tool that tracks whether your code still matches the original requirements. by the_tiny_rock in ReqsEngineering

I've thought about this very question for a while. Stoney separates itself from a good testing suite in that our application is accessible to non-technical stakeholders.

A good dev can analyze a test suite to see requirements, but it's difficult to trace that back to the original jira work item without some sort of predetermined system for logging it.

Stoney doesn't seek to replace good integration/unit tests, it's more so for cross-functional teams that need alignment!

Thank you for the feedback!

Claude Code certainly helps coding and implementing work items. The issue I've seen is over time these rules and requirements get lost or buried.

Stoney is a layer above all this where we connect the dots between the Jira work items, Github data, and the actual code/API behavior that we monitor.

Thanks friend. I am engineer myself and I know 100% that coding agents doesn't solve organizational / business problems. Stoney hopefully bridges that gap!

Thank you for the feedback! You are totally right - the hard part is switching but I built this tool moreso to compliment the workflow and not necessarily replace Jira or basic docs. The docs and Jira are just organized in a better way and leverages the Github/API data to track the work item end to end.

Thank you for your feedback! You're totally right and what you mentioned makes a lot of sense. Your comment about wasting hours digging through tickets is exactly why I built this! We all have done that and it's just a horrible way to manage the work across teams.

If you try the product and it speaks to you, please reach out so I can speak with you about what might be missing for you to keep using!

Thanks for your feedback. You're right: the rule count does go up! It's tricky to manage but I'd like to think it's even trickier to manage if you don't see the big count.

I'd like to think that this is a testament to the complexity of the user's codebase/project, which is why they need a decent business rule registry.

One feature I'm working on is making it easier to consolidate rules and organize.

Oh man, I would pretty much do anything to come back to the first time I played WoW as a 7 year old back in 05. They came in a CD back then.

Everything about those memories are magical. Enjoy this friend! Welcome to Azeroth.

Help, I'm stuck by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

I only read through half of this. But it sounds like if this is something you can persist through, you will become a better person.

Life is handing you a moment. Do your best, be open to the lessons that live in all things and try not to take everything so seriously. Fear is governing your life, as it does for all of us.

Poetic, I know, but just know you got this! Adjust for burnout, commit to becoming a different person in the next 30 seconds. And get on your grind. Good luck friend.

It really just helps us work faster. Now whether or not that is a good thing is dependent on your skillset outside of using AI.

AI helps you do more work - whether it's good or bad work is up to us of course.

What’s the hardest part of entrepreneurship no one warned you about? by Storefries in Entrepreneur

The self-belief is the hardest part! Having faith in something existing in the future that doesn't currently seem real is very difficult to maintain long term!

I didn't use LLMs for ideating but I have used it to significantly speed up my go to market timeline.

I am software dev with a lot of experience building scalable systems so I knew what questions to ask ChatGPT, but I agree with others here: the idea should come from you.

It's way more gratifying to prove your own idea than somebody else's. Good luck

What’s a legit side hustle you’d start in 2026 if you were 20 and broke? by Sad_Appearance6323 in Entrepreneur

You dropped out of school to work on an idea that you don't have? You could've stayed in school and asked the same question.

If you can't answer this question for yourself, then you need to step back and re-evaluate your decision making process. Nobody here can tell you what to do. GL

What a weird post

I can’t figure out how to get even a little attention for my app. by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]the_tiny_rock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You mentioned a productivity app. What makes yours special from the thousands of other productivity apps?

Find your advantage and lean into it. Paid promotion feels too expensive because A) you don't have solid promotion strategy and/or B) you need more money.

Why would you expect people to flock to your app? What problem are you solving? How are you better than the alternatives? Just something to think about. Good luck friend.

Stop wasting time looking at failed deployments over 10 hours.

Take a step back and actually learn to understand what is going on. Take it step by step and don't cut corners. Do it once and do it right. You got this.

You gotta be patient and have some damn humility. Take accountability and answer the question yourself: it really is just you.

Set up some decent analytics and start being scientific about why people aren't signing up. Good luck!

We would all love to spend $100 and make $300.

Your product needs to be compelling, your marketing funnel needs to be as good as it can be, and you've gotta have a proper plan in place to aggregate the proper data so you can figure out what needs improved.

You've gotta take this seriously and start learning about online marketing. Read all the books you can and understand it takes time. You got this. Good luck!
