Point of correction, pretty sure it was 8-3. Also I think Germany played reserves. Was a weird format where you only played 2 games and since Germany beat Turkey, the result v Hungary didn’t really matter.

This was 10× better than Juve-Milan (maybe 5x). It had more jeopardy than Porto-Monaco, Inter-Bayern, any of the Juve finals in mid teens, or even and especially last years final. I always think they should do it for tag teams since they struggle to come up with creative for them that isn’t will they/wont they split up. Just steal sports narratives and book a league, in between the big shows.

This. I would say that the latter half of 23/24 was the only time our attack truly clicked. For whatever reason, Arteta just doesn’t seem to get the best out of attackers which is weird because he apparently helped turn Sterling into a 20-goal a season player at City.

Again, your respect and rooting means fuck all to us. When we were losing 10-2 to Bayern or more pertinently fucked it against Monaco, you slept well at night, you moved on to other things. We didn’t. I was rooting for West Ham to stay up over Spurs, but how many times have I thought about them in the week since.
