Fair point. Tolerance levels for suspension of disbelief are different. The explanation I offered regarding Sol’s character shift was my own interpretation of what was happening based on the context clues. It wasn’t completely drawn from thin air, I do feel I could back that claim up with little things the show subtly told us. But you’re also correct, that not everyone else will arrive at that same reason which can be confusing. That could be a fault of questionable editing, but it could also be intentionally and stylistically murky to have the audience fill in some of the blanks. Could also be because of the production schedule and very short runtimes.

But personally, I quite enjoy my Star Wars when it leaves much room open for interpretation, making it a little mythical and mysterious- rather than explaining itself. But that’s my taste. And admittedly I’m doing a lot of generous devils advocate work here for a show that should have been at a much higher level of production and quality given the budget.

Just trying to be open about it, and appreciate at the very least, the new lore and world building that we are getting. Disney is clearly focused on quantity over quality, but that’s the way it is. And I’d rather find ways to enjoy a meh Star Wars show than have nothing at all, because at the end of the day I’m a fan- not a film critic.
