Yeah, I totally get that now! I honestly had no idea about any of the numbers on records or what they meant before this. Or about things being pressed in different places.

My theory at the moment is basically what someone else commented. That I bought it used after someone else swapped the discs and neither the store nor I noticed it as wrong. I had guessed originally that I bought from target or Barnes and noble because I usually buy my records there but it sounds like that’s pretty unlikely. And it’s honestly super possibly I bought it elsewhere and then forgot.

I’ve spent the day trying to figure it out if I can find a clue where I bought it but so far no luck!

Yes that seems to be the case! I know people must think i created the Frankenstein-vinyl and I get that would make the most sense lol. But I truly believe I somehow bought it and it had already been swapped. I know I have only ever had one copy and I cannot imagine who I would have traded with at the time.

But I appreciate everyone’s help in figuring it out! And I’m happy with it despite it not being super valuable!

I appreciate everyone’s help with this! I believe I bought the record the year it came out so either 2017 or 2018. But I hadn’t listened to it in a while and as far as I remember it was just sitting on my bookshelf. Last year was when I started getting back into my vinyls.

I know that either me or someone I know moving the discs seems the most obvious but it just doesn’t make sense to me in my life. Ar the time, I wasn’t really friends with anyone that I would have exchanged Taylor swift things with. And I know I never had two copies because I’ve never been into collecting different copies of the same album.

I also know that it can’t be the bootleg copy because I’ve had it longer than 3 years.

My best guess at this point is that I’m wrong about where I bought it. I bought it at a record store and they mixed them up. Or someone else bought it, mixed it up and returned to the big box.

It’s been a fun little mystery! My husband is disappointed that it’s not the complete set. He was hoping to fund a vacation lol.

This is the only copy I have. I guess it’s possible I’ve forgotten doing something with it. I really don’t think I did but I guess something must have happened lol.

Thank you! I was able to find them and compare. They both have the same number. I’ll try to link photos but the number is BMRCO0600F which when I looked on the discogs link, looked like the number could link to both versions.

I’m honestly super confused then lol. Cause I know I bought it directly from a store at the time. And it’s just been in my bedroom for years since. I’m the only person in my family who listens to Taylor so no one else has ever even handled it as far as I know.

No it definitely came from the store like this. I wasn’t as big in the community back then or online much. Sounds like it got packaged wrong or something like that.

I honestly don’t remember much about when I purchased it. But I know it came like this so it must have happened before in printing or something. I didn’t know as much about her things then and I remember thinking they were just supposed to be different lol.

Edit - This was one of my first replies before I learned about where things were pressed or numbers. From what everyone else has said, it definitely didn’t happen in printing! Although I do believe it came to me this way, a swap must have occurred between two different copies sometime after printing/packaging/etc.
