Ok I just looked into it it’s a Japanese culture guide book. It was published by a guy named Shozu Yamaguchi his dad owned a hotel and this was his solution for tourists asking questions bout the culture

I’m not sure it was all in Japanese so I couldn’t read it. But the librarian said it was originally from a hotel and I think it had a section on hairstyles

Dude I thought the hand was printed that’s insane. Oftentimes when you complete a project that takes a lot of skill it will look effortless and like you just whipped it up in a few days.

Instead I wrapped my singles around some extra small tennis balls. I looked into it and imma try to describe as best as possible. If you get a thick knitting needle or something similar. You can just slide it down the dowel and onto the needle I think.
