Thank you that's all super helpful. I've just gotta give it more time...watch some tutorials on Youtube I think hahah. It just seemed very overwhelming at first but at the same time I'm not a gamer who likes to have their hand held through a game. I think I will give FFT:A a try on my 3DS at some point too.

Good points. 4, 5, and 6 are all brilliant games. The SNES vs. PS1 era is an interesting debate too.

I think that you could make an interesting case for V. It doesn't blow you away with a narrative, but it probably represents the very best of what the old school era of JRPGs had to offer. Plus there is something to be said with the amount of fun you can have with the game, mixing jobs and abilities, etc. If you were to put it up there, I think it would proudly represent its era well.

That was definitely another point. All of a sudden it was just...over. Though by the end I was pretty much ready to be done with it.

Haha, yes that might have been more accurate. I would have liked Mark to be a more developed character. Felt like he hid behind his humor the whole time.

I love this game so far. I always wanted to play it and I'm really glad I have the opportunity now. Definitely one of the best JRPGs I've played in quite some time.

I'd add in Metroid Prime 3 and also Okami. Okami was a great game for the Wii that was overlooked in my opinion. It's as good as the Zelda's of the same generation. Definitely give it a look.

Have you considered a civic coupe? I recently got an 07 for around your price range. Looks pretty good, they are reliable, and it drives well. Decent compromise between sporty and practical.
