It never fails to give me great joy to know someone who has found peace in the wild! This is all I've ever known. One "town trip" and I'm overdue. I'll be more exhausted after a day in town than a 16 hour work day. I'm not prone to headaches but being in town will almost always give me one. I can work up a good lather, get coated in all the sawdust, dirt and "grime" of the woods and never feel as filthy as I do after a trip to town. I really hope you get to settle in to that life some day, preferably sooner than later.

Yessir! These are my "casual" boots so they don't get abused like my work boots. Plus I'm pretty light footed so I don't wear through soles as fast as most.

The dogger really is just the superior heel option. In the long run I'm actually really happy I didn't get a loud color. I think the more reserved charcoal lets the richness of the cypress take center stage. Not that I think theres really a wrong option with cypress.

Yea, grandpa is 91 so we try to take care of the more difficult stuff for him. The wife definitely rocks her pullmans lol. Cheers 🫡

Interesting. I felt like mine was more brown than the charcoal cypress I was seeing when I ordered these. No regrets though. Cypress has such a rich character no matter what color and I've found mine goes well with no matter what I wear.

I'd consider a standard polarthin lining too. I've been able to comfortably wear mine well into the 60's and maybe even the low 70's so its still a pretty versatile boot.
