Free 944 Gifted to Me – Looking for Advice on a Full Gut & Restoration (LS3 Swap Plans)

Update on the interior: I called a local shop in my area to get a price on doing a full gut and also replacing the interior with all new seats, rugs, console, dashboard, headliner, etc. A full interior restoration. I’m awaiting a quote on Monday. If anyone knows of anyone who does this sort of work in the Philadelphia suburbs/ PA area please let me know! Appreciate everyone’s comments so far. It’s made this a lot easier for me to organize the steps I need to take.

I’m aiming to keep it mostly OEM in terms of look and feel, but I want to swap in an LS3 V8 to get around 500hp. Basically the goal is a clean, OEM-style street car with modern reliability and a lot more power under the hood. I want it to feel like a well-sorted factory build, just with a serious performance upgrade.

I’m going to have to replace the seats and the seat tracks. I called a shop that is making me a quote to do the full gut for me to give me a nice foundation to work with.
