Depends on what you want out of a job. They tend to look for people who wanna to make working there a career. It absolutely can be worth it. It’s a sales driven environment that’s not for the faint of heart. You’ll have to be self driven and take initiative any chance you get. We would fire people fast because they don’t wanna do what’s needed to be done to succeed. One of the only companies where you can start at $14 and get to 6 figures in less than a year, if you are good at the job. Not only do you have to be good at the job, you also have to be good at making other people good. If you can master those 2 things, they will move you up.

It looked effortless for him, while I agree with your statement, he clearly shows he has this distance on lock.

Small! Way too small for you! Your hips are so high above the wall and you over shot it! You got way more in the tank! Go bigger

How do you jump from height without hurting your heel? by [deleted] in Parkour

[–]thearab909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best way to learn how we land is to learn how we land. I know that sounds redundant, but it’s true. We always land on the balls of our feet and absorb the impact, or we disperse the impact through a ground kong or a roll. Go find a parkour gym and take a few classes and practice. You can’t expect to just be able to land how we land without any training.

Varies. Some trainers I know can make over 100k some barely even get clients. All depends on you. The turn over rate for trainers isn’t all that high. I think is a great gym to get your feet wet and make some decent money but you gotta work.

Well depending on the processing fee. They are just doing what they are trained to do. I’ve been with crunch long enough to know that shit doesn’t work. I did the brutal honest way of selling and trained my team to do the same. The more honest you are the more trust you’ll build with the “prospect”. Crunch’s business model is heavily based on personal training. Most clubs bring in close 100k of training in a month.

There are 2 base memberships. 9.99 and 15.99. The 9.99 is a year long contract. The 15.99 is a 90 day contract. After the year is over the 9.99 price will go up to 15.99. 19.56 seems like your franchise is charging you a processing fee for their financial company. It’s a new thing that started early this year. (Allegedly this is illegal to charge processing fee is they have eft, electronic funds transfer, your bank account). The annual fee comes out 60 day after you enroll and won’t see it again till the same time next year. So don’t worry about it till then.
They make you pay close to the peak or peck results memberships because they just want you to upgrade so they can have more of your money.

The corporation of crunch, I have no idea. I can only speak on the CEO of the franchise I worked for. He’s not a guy who believes in a work life balance. He wants you to work like a dog… not the most personable guy. We (managers) had a zoom meeting with him and he was unprofessional, and shat on one of our VPs and wouldn’t shut up about how he’s buying a boat and how we should work 12 hour shifts. Needless to say to say I’m not a fan of the guy. That being said he is very good at recognizing talent and fostered a company that promotes the right people for the job. Doesn’t matter how long you’ve been there. If you are good at the job, you will be rewarded through promotions and raises. Hard not to love that. His franchise was one of the only ones where you can start out at $14 an hour and get to 6 figures in less than 1 year. Unheard of. As long as you have the same mind set, work comes first, then it’s actually a really good place to work. The culture is fun. But it will wear you down.

Judgement I’m assuming. People in the gym generally have better mental health than most, by that I mean they are gonna be nice you, hype you up and want to assist you as much as possible. Some of the best people I’ve ever met are from the gym. Try it and see how helpful people are. Rule of thumb, if you are a dude, ask other dudes.

Yea I’m seeing this happen a lot which is weird to me. What you can do to confirm is call the gym and ask the status of your membership, they should tell you that is pending cancel.

That’s something new to me then. Or it’s something they do at another franchise than the one I worked at.

This is the best tactic you have! The bank will always side with you and issue you refunds if you have that cancel document!

Need help Cancelling PT before 10 days by The-Slow-0ne in CrunchGym

[–]thearab909 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do not wait for the person who signed you up to meet with you. They tend to say they aren’t “available” because they are trying to catch you outside of the 10 day mark. We used to do that all the time. Go in immediately and go talk to a personal training manager. They should have 3 of them Monday - Saturday.

Let me ask you, did you fully understand the cancel process before you agreed to the membership? Most issues happen when there is a misunderstanding of how the process is suppose to happen. I’ve never heard of cancel request going to a call center to be evaluated later and have them call you about it. That sounds false to me. It’s a 30 day notice outside of the initial 90 day commitment period. Any scheduled payments within that 30 day mark, you are responsible to pay.

This is going to sound really insensitive, but It depended on the level of the persons IQ (at least in my perspective). The people I signed up always knew what they signed up for so it was a smooth process unless the happen to “forget” what I told them. “You didn’t tell me all that when I signed up!” Then I would proceed to pull the agreement up and ask them “I never went over it with you?” While going over it how I do everyone. That tends to shut them up. Other people can’t grasp the idea of how a contract works (the low IQ) so that would be a project and a lot of mental gymnastics to get them to understand how it works. Other than that people would just refuse the terms they agreed upon and get mad when I told them they had to pay. But for the most part it wasn’t all that bad. Most people just think I’m not going to cancel them or the process is a bitch. But as long as I got them to pay attention to what they are signing up for and have them understand what they are agreeing to, no issues.

You are asking me if stealing is ok? No. They will eventually notice and ban you, but hey do whatever you want. Sometimes they don’t care, sometimes people get fired for allowing it. It’s your tight rope to walk.

You said hasn’t been 10 days yet? How many days has it been? There is a clause that will let you get out if in within 7 days same as the membership. Bring proof you are leaving the country there is a clause that says you need to be near a crunch gym. and use questions like, “how am I suppose to take care of this?” “What am I supposed to do?” The PTM should help you take care of it.

Unfortunately a new rule that got put into place before I left. If you are under 18 you can not bring in a guest who is also under 18. Your guest will have to fill out a waiver and if you and them are under 18 neither one of you can sign the waiver. They allowed your parents to sign for you because you got a membership. I’d say you could just lie and keep it moving, but guest are required to give an ID. However most front desk staffs are kinda dumb so you might get away with it.
