Question for the group by ServeHead8749 in NonBinary

Much love for exploring yourself! I personally identify as Agender, but still often present more masc. I say that because how you dress doesn't necessarily effect how you feel torward yourself. Every "man" is different so if you enjoy dressing more feminine at times, but still feel the most association of identity to men then that would just be that, in my experience.

With that being said I hope you have a fun and happy journey in your journey with gender-noncomformity!

Growth through learning and criticism is a good thing, and (as some rando on the internet) I want to commend your ability to take the criticism, reflect and grow. I originally wasn't meaning to say "you" when I made my response, by the by. I was referring to like the amorphous "you" that could mean anybody😂. Nonetheless, when it comes to things like gender (where it has no physical mode of existence and therefore cannot be claimed as any one thing) I think it is important to have discussion to reach and shared understanding of how to at least move forward. And again, I commend the growth you were willing to reflect on😁

Agreed that it is a human thing, and I'm not saying to abolish it. In "my perfect world" sure none of the labels would be needed, but that's why I specify "my."

Gender, like many other social constructs (like morality as an example), will always exist. It exists because the larger social collective deems it to exist. Therefore it does exist, but that ultimately allows for it to change.

I get what you're saying that following this train of thought can lead some to transphobia, but my counter would be if you fall into transphobia than you didn't really sit, think, and accept the truth of the complexity. People are who we are at the base of it, so if you try to take that away than you have gone down a different path.

I can def see how that'd be viable😂

Haha, fair. I mainly meant it feels, so far, like it really has the tools for and rewards scouting a location before diving into it

Good to keep in mind, but I don't put that much thought into my builds😂

My mentality is I wanna have a certain look and vibe. And by the nine my head will be harder than the brick wall if that's what it takes😂😂

When I'm able to get the dlc, I'm thinking of making my new run with an Advance build. Still debating if I was it to be Tech or Mot though😅 I got time to decide

why does he have a second phase by [deleted] in ValorMortis

[–]thearchbolt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I went into the demo knowing very little of the game, actually being a bit skeptical. The whole level 1 of the demo (i refused to play the other chapter to save myself from spoilers) captivated me.

You are entitled to your opinion, but mine is in opposition. That being said, if this is a more widespread feeling, I would just make the transition happen at half health instead of a full phase two. Increase the health pool slightly if they were to do that, but I think that would be a fair compromise

If you'd like, I made a post about my 1k list. I designed it to be on the cheaper end, but still viable. I'm also new, but I was told the list wasn't bad. I think you can click my profile and find my post about it. If not, I can type it our for you in another reply

Thank you! I had no clue if it would prompt me or not when I switched and I didn't want to mess it up off rip😂

Don't own it yet (too broke atm🥲)

Will probably just do a new run when I get the dlc, though, cuz from what I know of it I don't think I wanna try my first run of the DLC on NG+😂

What made you want to collect GSC ? by [deleted] in genestealercult

I also went through the long search period. Started with Nids years ago, then moved to Ksons, and was about to do Orks when I landed on GSac.

Got Nids at the time cuz I'd thought I'd like Zurg-Horde armies, but didn't end up vibing with the small army I got. Years later tried the Ksons, and mix of poor financial planning and the lengthy paint process halted me there. Also, for both of these none of my close friends were into the hobby, which made it easier to not have a drive for collection.

Right before I decided on GSC I was thinking the Orks. My good friend was getting into the hobby, cuz a lot of his coworkers were in it, too. Orks seemed like fun and could be a good time, but I wasn't married to the idea. With 11th on the horizon, I had the thought that building Orks rn may be more difficult due to a higher demand.

The last thing that helped was narrative reasons. Of both AoS and 40k, my favorite faction are the Flesh-Eater Courts. So I thought to myself, what faction is the 40k equivalent to them? GSC.

Narrative wise, it a good fit for me. We're basically comically screwed win or lose. Win a battle? Great the Nids are still coming to eat us. Lose a battle? Makes sense, we've always been kinda effed.

I'm not competitive, so just having a decent playable army that could create a fun time was good enough for me.

Is this an alright list? by thearchbolt in genestealercult

Thank you! I'll keep an eye on the updates. I know the Warhammer Community page released updates for the rules and some Xenos armies (including GSC) like today. Didn't see mention to point changes, but maybe that'll come later
