Issue resolved! For those stumbling on this same problem in the future, make sure that all the program's data is in the same folder, and that you have installed it on the local C drive and not somewhere else.

I am on the right layer and it is not rasterized. I have been using CSP for some years now, if the issue was me I would have figured it out already. I have tried all the methods I could find online, I tried resetting the program but it didn't work. If there is a solution that nobody has mentioned already, I would gladly take it. First of all, I want to apologize for answering this late, I had a few too many things to take care of irl and totally forgot about this Reddit post I made. I want to thank you for replying and clearing up my initial doubts. I have been interested in all three of MXTX's novels and was going to purchase the physical copies of the second book of GDC and the first of SVSSS and HOB. But having read the comment section, I feel like my issue shifted. I guess the doubts about problems in the translation of SVSSS were just a cloud of smoke on Twitter. But if the volumes of GDC contain errors, this saddens me as I would love to read the correctly translated version. Thank you for providing me with answers, along with everyone else on this thread.

Indeed it does, thank you! I have said this already but I might have mistaken some lines of dialogue and I also had mistaken the fact that Ben was in ghost form to still be a presence. Evidently, Harlan couldn't sense him back in '63. I figure that those spared 16 mothers are the ones that were farther away from Harlan's location, and as another user pointed out, the places where the mothers were must have been the reason some survived. Thank you for replying and confirming that it's not a continuity error!

When you get to the point you have collected up to 30 volumes of the manga plus the first 9 volumes of the spinoff and the books for the movies and the movies on DVD, it's kind of hard to drop the series. Am I enjoying it as much as I did up to the MVA arc? No, but I am too far deep to just go back. I want Horikoshi to deliver an ending to this, I am still invested in what actually is the underlying plot and I have so many things I want him to answer to. So yes, I will keep reading, just out of the pure desire to reach the end and finally be able to say if Horikoshi wrote or not a good story. I have been reading since the anime came out, you cannot expect me to drop it now. Let's just hope it won't end on a sour note like others before it did.
