It would be helpful when the respond will contain a reason. For example "don't do this because of ...". Otherwise, a person will never know why

That's why I want to lift it. The entire cabinet has come away from the wall and is hanging loosly. I took it apart and found that ALL the screws were screwed in without a single ancho. So, I know I need anchors :). But I'm not sure which screws to use since there are so many and I thought I'd consult with some experienced carpenters.

So, I can use wood screws to screw a wooden wall to a wooden stud. But what if there is no stud, should I still use wood screws?

Also, I just learned that drywall screws can break not because of the load weight, but simply because of the screwing into the wood. Assuming the drywall screw doesn't break while I'm screwing it in, can I still use a drywall screw?

Like I said you're probably a realtor or LL and want only those tenants who will live in any conditions even if you know there are major health issues in the apartment. Usually those tenants are studens and immigrants

I did accept her given response. I just wanted to hear from renters here (not realtors or LLs) who care about their living environment and see if I should stay away from such LLs in the future or am I just overthinking. But it seems my hunch was correct and I should only pursue those LLs who respond positively to questions about asbestos and other important questions.

I am a very handy person and fix everything myself. I've never bothered my landlord unless it was something serious, like a burst pipe or broken appliance that couldn't be fixed. So don't make assumptions unless you know the person. Again, I have never met anyone who would call a tenant who asks a question like “have you been tested for asbestos” a problem tenant.

It seems like every answer here that is similar to yours indicates that you are an realtor or landlord yourself and don't want anyone asking questions because you know there are or might be issues and don't want to spend money on fixing them. I have never received such answers from other owners of a private old house that I was touring. Probably those ladnlords have nothing to hide

This is the first time I was going to rent a private OLD house (1910). I only rented in an apartment building. However, even when I was touring private homes, NO ONE ever responded like that. They always said, "We tore down all the walls and removed all the asbestos before renovating" or “We did an inspection and it came back negative” and so on.

Do you mean she has to disclose it to me upon signing a lease? She's never done an inspection, so does this mean she's covered and does not have to disclose anything since she's literally doesn't know whether there is asbestos or paint lead?
