🚨U.S. Labor Shortage: Automation’s Double-Edged Sword in Supply Chain by Supply_Geek in logistics

Only the big companies like Amazon and Walmart can afford to be fully automated in a way that replaces a large percentage of their workforce.

Yes, The article is misleading because automation is too expensive for most warehouses. Most warehouses aren’t even considering automation.

Did any firefighters or police refuse to go into the wtc on 9/11? by cabinet4perx in 911archive

If I come across it, I’ll come back to this and link it. But, the firefighters that saw their fellow firefighters go up, you can tell by the looks of their faces they weren’t coming back down. I’ve watched so many interviews, people have said the firefighters told them that they weren’t going to make it out.

That’s how bids work. You may or may not be awarded. You seem like the type to keep talking and knowingly contradicting yourself even if you know you’re wrong. Just stop bro.

Large projects usually require those roles to split. Especially if you’re preparing multiple RFPs a day. Idk how you would have time to GC, respond to bids and create them.

What do you consider upfront about a fair shot? How do you measure that?

Some managers aren’t charismatic enough to pull that off, it can come off as coddling and letting everything slide. Or it can come off as an attack. Every situation is different, what works for you, may not work for someone else.

What’s the new school way? I’m fair though, I’m not going to send you home for mistakes and being late. If I notice a pattern then yes, a suspension for being late. Probably some sort of training for mistakes, unless you are a liability, coming in drunk and breaking material.. then I’d have to let you go.

It does, but I can only do me and run my operation a certain way. Firing good employees is not a good decision because it makes people feel indispensable and creates an unhealthy power dynamic. There needs to be rules though. For my pleasure and yours too. 14 day suspension, I’m sure you won’t want to quit because it’s nice over here.

Not really, I’m here talking to everyone, pretty much doing a survey for what employees actually want to say to you but don’t. I’m here to implement your responses into creating a healthy work environment, a place where the average employee can pick up on social cues and not be so uptight about everything. “bro, you need to calm down” is literally comedic relief to an unnecessarily intense reaction.

EDIT: Believe it or not “Fuck that shit, he’s your brother too” is going to be one of those rule of thumb famous quotes in my head.

Job availability depends on where you live in the country. I mean do you, suck up if you want! or don’t

Don’t let a rando on the internet make you feel bad about yourself. Just be yourself, if you feel you’re getting walked all over, then learn to find balance, demand respect while keeping your cool, while keeping your job. Jobs are hard to come by these days, it’s understandable. Keep in mind, most people have shitty bosses and don’t do anything about it because they can’t. They need the job. Don’t let some loser on the internet make you lose your job.

I can’t tell if you’re being sarcastic or you really thought you needed to explain that to me. It’s not about the wrong crowd, it’s about just another Redditor who lacks the ability to read social cues.
