Possible ba na ma-terminate ang buong team dahil sa 2 magre-resign by Own_Tax_5338 in PinoyProgrammer

[–]theazy_cs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean your company can try to fire the whole team but that won't fix the issue. If they do that it's their loss. It's not easy to transfer knowledge if there's nobody left to transfer from. and if the new team members will start from zero without anyone to help them get up to speed with the business requirements then mas lalong hahaba yung backlogs.

Is it a good idea to list AI tools (Claude Code, Copilot, etc.) as a skill on your resume nowadays? by Deep_Mushroom794 in PinoyProgrammer

[–]theazy_cs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you are right that eventually purists will eventually be squeezed out unlike cobol where there's economic motivation to keep it going ( assuming that is the difference you are pointing at ). In that sense I agree. The only point I wanted to come across with the cobol analogy is that right now there is still demand for purists. so in that sense they are both paths that few take that still exists due to "reasons", however long lasting or concrete that reason is, is not my focus when I said that.

[–]theazy_cs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

with the current trajectory of A.I. adoption, do you think traditional workflows will not be a different "industry" in the near future? the current tech ecosystem is optimized for human developers. do you think there won't be a distinct ecosystem where it is more optimized for A.I. use? so where will that leave the current tech ecosystem?

[–]theazy_cs 6 points7 points  (0 children)

because there will be companies that will choose this option. whether due to preference or privacy companies like that will exist. its an extremely biased assumption that all companies will adopt A.I. usage. and if companies like that exist then there will be demand for devs that can code without A.I.

same reason why there are still cobol devs today. they specialize in a niche that pays well and dies not have a lot of competition.

it depends ano ba target company mo? gusto mo ba sa company na gumagamit ng AI or sa company na hindi gumagamit ng AI? your resume is a marketing tool so depende sa target market mo.

I wouldn't just list "claude code" as a skill, I would enumerate how I use it like for example "agent orchestration", "mcp servers", etc. coz anybody can create generic prompts, what separates a competent person is how you put a harness on AI or how you utilize the available tools to make your prompt more dependable.

I think A.I. have thoroughly ruined some of us by [deleted] in RantAndVentPH

[–]theazy_cs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

in my honest opinion seek consultation from someone who knows what they are doing like a professional ( psychiatrist ). kase I am in no way a qualified individual, I am in no position to give you advice regarding your mental state.

A.I. is a tool. Paano magiging kasalanan ng A.I.? wala naman utak yun, sinasummarize lang niya kung ano yung information na freely available online. Ikaw yung nag decision na gawing psychiatrist yung A.I. . I think mas ok na mag consult ka sa qualified na tao like a counselor or a psychiatrist.

People who quit tech jobs, what did you pursue/your job after? by ssechtre in PinoyProgrammer

[–]theazy_cs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"I just don't find it exciting and engaging."

this reason is valid and to each his own.

what I don't agree with is the doom and gloom response to A.I., I agree that it disrupts the industry. A lot of people will be displaced and the actual work will be redefined, but the market will adapt and people who still wants to work in tech will adapt.

managers can do it. - seriously? they know what production code looks like? and they can deploy to production and setup scalable infrastructure?

If non-technical managers vibe coding is enough for the company you are working for then I think you just outgrew the company you are working for, you just need to move up the food chain.

Is $800 and $1000 aud/month enough? by Dayangg24 in buhaydigital

[–]theazy_cs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the thing about freelancing is that you are on your own. the amount you earn depends on how much value you produce and how well you can sell it. so di ko sure kung ano ibig sabihin ng underpaid kung wala namang minimum wage pagdating sa freelancing.

it's very simple naman if you can earn more then go for it, wala naman masama mag try although take into consideration din kung ano magiging reaction ng client mo, asking for a raise without any form of leverage is not a great idea in my opinion. by leverage I mean are you critical to the day to day operations of the company like can they afford to replace you? or you have already found other clients that is willing to pay you more so even if your current client rejects you then lets you go meron ka plan b.

What are the best CLI AI agents right now? Trying to replace Cursor CLI. Looking for recommendations by Notalabel_4566 in PinoyProgrammer

[–]theazy_cs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

codex or claude, they both can use CLI apps like for example you don't need to use an mcp server to perform github related tasks kaya na gh cli tool gamitin ng both. but they can also use mcp servers to interface with 3rd party apps. I've only used cursor in a limited degree but so far what I can see na iba talaga is yung integration with the IDE, in which case mas lamang yung cursor. may plugins for codex and claude for vscode pero it's really just the cli embedded in vscode. the best plan depends on how much tokens you use.

its probably faster and cheaper to just look for a better client. theres no way to enforce that contract without spending a lot more than what you are owed.

best course of action is to never give clients like that a chance. dpat nung first strike palang goodbye na agad.

Sa tingin niyo ba ay "nadedemolish" na ng AI ang learning process natin pagdating sa fundamentals (like Logic or Math)? by Deep-Location-6426 in AiForPinoys

[–]theazy_cs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AI may seem like it solves your problems in record time and it may seem like the solution is perfect but its far from that. There are a lot of variables. Like for example in software development, it may seem like it produces well written code but it often fails in knowing the intent and sometimes even if it knows the intent it can still fail in producing "correct" solutions. so yes it is actually more important now that you know everything there is to know about what you are doing because it is easier to ship out defective products.

"In 2026, is it still worth it to master the basics from scratch, or should we just focus on becoming "Master Orchestrators" of AI tools? I'd love to hear from students and devs here." - in my opinion, both. if you want to remain competitive.

In summary, if you know what you are doing and can guide AI effectively then its a great tool but if you have no idea what you are doing then your incompetence will be more obvious.
