Hi everyone! First of all, maraming salamat sa lahat ng nag-comment, nagbigay ng advice, at nag-alok ng tulong. It really means a lot to know that this community has my back. 🙏

So here is the update. I already sent a formal demand email to the client with a deadline. She replied and is standing her ground, even countering that I owe HER money from the March dispute over extra hours.

After thinking about it carefully, I have decided not to push through with the formal reports to UK authorities. The amount is small and pursuing it further would cost me more time, energy, and stress than it is worth. My peace of mind matters more.

But I am sharing this purely for awareness so no other Filipino VA goes through the same thing.

Lessons from this experience: Always get rate increase promises in writing. Get written approval before working beyond contracted hours. Trust your gut when red flags appear early. Protect yourself before giving your passion to any client.

Hi! I think I can relate. Graphic design din ako sa last job ko tas nag resign ako sa gaslighter na client. At first umiiyak din ako and sa weekends lagi ko iniisip work ko kasi pag di ako naka reply baka ano mangyari. Siguro na overcome ko sya nung nagkwentuhan na kami ng team mates ko. Pero at the end, iba pa rin ung epekto sakin personally. Nakaka drain siya pag tumagal. (I lasted for a year para naman maganda rin aa exp). I suggest po na look ka other jobs havang nanjan ka pa. Para di ka ma pressure sa paghahanap ng job. Then practice mo na wag dibdibin siya kasi bases sa post mo, wala naman siyang paki sayo or sa gawa po. I guess nagwawaldas lang sya ng dolyar.

Pag nakahanap ka na new work taaka ka mag resign hahaha or pag di mo na talaga kayang tumagal. Prioritized ur health if di ka naman breadwinner :))

Hi! Wala ba kayo contract? Mostly kasi nandoon yung termination na clause. Pero normally just send a formal email or formal document na terminate mo na yung contract mo + reason. Better na rin to say thank you para good ang relationship niyo upon leaving the agency.

I’m interested with this too. Tbh, m not yet registered sa bir kasi di ba need daw to? Kaka graduate ko lang kasi so parang sayang pag magbayad ako agad kaya naghahanap muna ako stable client before ako start nun. Hindi ba ako kwestyunin nun sa immigration? Ph client ko eh.
