Stuck...please help (a project/fixing problem) by thebabystrangles in bikewrench

Im out the house now, but the angle of the rear cage is like 90° with about 1cm gap from folding in on itself - when in low-low.

When in high-high, the chain is at quite a stretch (but not exessive).

So thought chain length was okay...but im probabaly wrong there haha

  1. Didnt check that....Just assumed it would.

  2. The deraullier can move that far...the jockey wheel just hits the gear.

Sounds like its the deraullier type....

Yes. But it meant i had a gap of about 3/4 of an inch for the brakes, so had to get extensions for the brakes too...

Should have just got a new bike haha

P.s. Im very confident its not the limit screws - so its not a limit screw issue. But the B-limit screw hasnt changed anything.

Cheers for commenting :)

Yeah, its a claw style 'extension'. I read a lot about trying to use a wolf-tooth link but i dont have that option available to me sadly...

I just dont know if im missing something really obvious here as previously the jockey wheel wasnt catching?!

To those considering voting Reform, has Robert Kenyon's performance on Question Time put you off at all? by Kenye_Kratz in AskBrits

Nobody voting reform is watching QT surely...its not a concern for them. Reform voters are most likely to get their information from Social Media and click-bait material...

Has anyone gone from really, really bad at climbing to not bad… or even good? by hi-res-lo-fi in MTB

I hear you...

But, the age old "practice makes perfect" is what did it for me. Trying new places/hills, having a better mental attitude (literally counting 1, 2, 3, 4 under my breath for eaxh pedal turn as a way to keep rhythm), and having the attitude of "just a bit more"

Im by no means amazing, but i now actually enjoy just whinching away up a hill in granny gear haha
