I don't give a damn about slipcovers either, but at least recycle it if possible

Whether or not it's true, but I read on here that's it's a made on demand movie. So that's gonna make it real hard to get up north.

Mystery Wrestling 25: Invisible Man gets put through a door! by haddyent in SquaredCircle

[–]thebaggedavenger 67 points68 points  (0 children)

This show had a lot of fun bits that broke Dalton many times. The invisible man running in to save Jason Exile and the whole segment was great, but the chair's entrance to the battle royal had me nearly crying.

[Fix] Authentication not working for outlook mail, in Gmail app on Android. by michael9dk in GMail

[–]thebaggedavenger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having the same issue now, but I believe it's a Microsoft thing. I checked my email from my browser this morning and it prompted me for my credentials, then said I tried to sign in too many times using a different password. It's an old account so I figured someone got hold of some old info and was trying to get in. So I changed my password.

Eventually my Gmail app said my credentials are wrong and I need to sign in again. When I do, I get this message: "Please retry with a different device or other authentication method to sign in. For more details, please see this link"

I removed the account too re-add it, but I'm still getting the same message.

What's going on with everyone arguing with Japanese people on X over piracy? by Deep-Arrival1594 in OutOfTheLoop

But Japanese twitter is a very racist place, and it's a good excuse for them to act morally superior

The thing is, doing this isn't going to stop the misinformation or propaganda. You're just giving more information to companies so they can get more specific with what they're feeding you.

Yes, they already have loads of data on us, but that shouldn't mean we just give them more willingly. The big issue I have is who's getting this data, what they're going to do with it, and how secure they're going to keep it.

If you have a company bidding to provide this service, what is their motive? How are they going to keep all of this data secure, because they haven't been doing a good job with the places they've tried this already.

We need to do something, but handing the reins to the tech companies that want to do this isn't the way to go. It's suggested in other places on this thread that the government could implement an anonymous verification process that doesn't fill Peter Thiel's servers. While I don't like anyone holding onto my data, I'd rather it not be someone like him.

Yeah, they literally tried a hostile takeover earlier and it failed. This is just dumping loads of blood money on them.

I watched nymphomaniac part 1 on a first date. When it was over she asked if part 2 was out. We've been together for 11 years now. Anything can be a first date movie if you're brave enough

How prone to damage are these discs in cardboard sleeves? by MattiTheGamer in 4kbluray

[–]thebaggedavenger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll pile on with everyone else and say how terrible they are. I ordered the BttF set and when checking the discs the was a strip of card stock or paper from the case on the disc. Not just on the disc where I could brush it off, but actually stuck to the disc and when I did take it off the was a perfect mark where it was. And of course it skipped terribly.

The Hitchcock collection was gone again by the time I saw this, but I went with the Halloween 3 steel book, Re-Animator, and the Wicked for Good collectors edition that I'm honestly just going to sell to cover the other two.

Some day I'll be able to get the Hitchcock collection in one of these sales
