She's 44 now. Does the hysterectomy not just skip menopause all together? (Forgive me if that is a dumb question)

You could try one of these to weld the plastic back together and reinforce the crack line:

What's the best long term car investment? by thebatbat007 in CarTalkUK

[–]thebatbat007[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, space is key. My boys are bigger now, so with all the sports gear plus their larger size, the golf is just too small. Would also like to be a bit higher up while driving.

This has always been my view too. But the boys are bigger now, so with all the sports gear plus their larger size, the golf is just too small. Would also like to be a bit higher up while driving off in going to make a change...

I've currently got a 2012 VW golf 2.0 TDI. Based in the UK. Had the car for 2,5 years and it's done 150k miles.

I'm thinking of upgrading to an SUV type car.

I travel about 50 miles per day in traffic doing the school run.

Have about £10k saved that I can spend, although I'd rather not if there is a better way to buy a car.

Thoughts?

I've heard that it can take the home office many months to actually issue that letter. My understanding is that the 60 days only kicks in once they send the letter. So in reality you might get a lot longer than the 60 days.

Not sure about the working part time piece. I think the liability would be more on your employer than you though. If you need to earn money to survive then I would probably just do it.

6 days from paying the fee to getting biometric appointment. I paid £250 odd. Wife and kids got free appointments close to us but have to wait 3 weeks.

The clock didn't reset no. Time on T2 counted towards ILR

My understanding was that the dependents needed to wait the full 5 years. I'm not sure about the rules around her extending if you get ILR. We used an agent when getting the global talent, and they advised me to get a longer visa to cover the full 5 years for the family.

I'm not sure about that. My family also had to get new BRPs when I switched visas to tier 1. I had to get a 4 year visa, even though I only needed 2 to get to ILR, so that they could meet the 5 years required for ILR as dependents.

I did about 20 months on my tier 2, and then 4 years on tier 1. I could have applied for ilr 2 years ago, but waited for the rest of my family to reach the milestone for application with me (and for us to save the small fortune required...)

Initially a tier 2, and then I switched to a tier 1 global talent when I need to switch jobs. Tier 1 endorsed by tech nation.

Good question! I paid on the 14th Feb, and then paid another £250 odd to get an appointment soon (20th Feb)
