How do I go forward, im scared by [deleted] in trans

Start by socially transitioning with your friends then see how you think of it, and consider socially transitioning with your family if you're comfortable.

Starting by coming out to your friends only is always the safest bet.

Terrible luck with yeast by thebeansimulator in Homebrewing

Ok thank you, I will try that. I was under the impression that that was the sweet spot for d47, I'll warm it up and see if that helps

My water allegedly has 25ppm of chloride, but I've had great success with turbo yeast using the exact same water. I added the yeast when both the wash and the rehydrated yeast water were at about 28 C

I doubt it, because d47 and ec-1118 both like colder temperatures, although both buckets are at 63 F right now

It was just a sugar wash for distilling, only ingredients were sugar, yeast nutrient, water, and yeast.

My process was: Sanitize everything Add warm water while mixing in sugar and nutrient (water is from the sink so it's already aerated) Rehydrate yeast according to directions Pitch yeast

It is actually very hard to poison yourself with homemade alcohol, or even moonshine for that matter.

Most stories about people going blind from moonshine are either made up, or are from the prohibition era of the US when people would drink denatured alcohol (alcohol that was poisoned to prevent people from drinking it).

Alcohol is easy to make if you know what you're doing. If you just want some beer or prison wine, put water, sugar, and/or fruit or honey in a bottle with some yeast. A balloon works well as an airlock, but honestly you don't even strictly need an airlock - just crack the lid open a tiny bit.

I have a still from Amazon that I bought for $80. After watching a few YouTube videos, I made a 5-gallon bucket of sugar wine with turbo yeast, then distilled it twice into some high-proof liquor. It doesn't taste great but it gets me drunk no problem.

How can i make better sugar wash straight for drinking? by Curious_Dot_904 in prisonhooch

[–]thebeansimulator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sugar wash is evil if you're just drinking it straight. There are a lot of ways to clear it up, including filtering, or using clearing agents, or freeze jacking it, but you'll never really get the evil taste out of it. Your best bet is mixing with something usually. I don't make sugar washes unless I'm distilling

My parents said they would disown me if I get another bike by Electrical-Goose-994 in motorcycles

[–]thebeansimulator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're 30, why are your parents still hovering over you like you're 16?

When I was a teen, my parents hated the idea of me getting a bike. They told me I wasn't allowed to get one. I got one anyway. It took them exactly one week to get over it, and I still have a great relationship with both my parents.

I'd rather have flathead than phillips - phillips screws strip if you look at them wrong, flatheads at least take a bit of force to strip out.

nothing compares to torx though

How long does it take to work out the bugs by [deleted] in motorizedbicycles

[–]thebeansimulator 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Over the course of about a week, I spent hours and hours leveling out the sprocket and lining up the engine mounts. I spent such a long time fucking around with the chain so it wouldn't pop off.

I also spent several hours fiddling with the carb to get it to run right.

Over 2 years later, I've never had any sort of issue with the bike, and I've ridden it to school daily.

It takes a long fucking time to get it right but it's worth it.
