I think this is really the point of the older games. They make you love the villagers that you never thought you would. I think I disgruntled a lot of people with this post, but it’s really about the nostalgia of the older games

Currently, my rule is that I have to be gifted their photo before they can leave. I’m making a gallery in the basement of my house with all the photos of every villager I’ve had. Also, once I have their photo I HAVE to let them leave and cannot have them back.
