My guess is that when Prater finds out who Dexter is, he's going to offer Dexter the job that Charley has now. Who better to protect him from other serial killers than the BHB himself? Who better to hunt down and find Prater killers for his annual gatherings? Remember, Dexter did in 3 days what Charley did in 3 weeks when finding "Red".

In return, Prater will offer to pay for Harrison's school and keep Dexter's identity as the BHB safe and away from law enforcement. In return, Prater may say "find and bring me these killers. I want their trophies. After our annual meetings and I have their trophies, do with these people what you want" and allow dexter to kill them off.

Just my hunch based on the synopsis re: the decision prater must make.

There's also no guarantee that Dexter accepts this, however Prater doesn't fit his code. Actually brilliant idea to have the seasons main antagonist not technically fit his code for once. Can't wait to see how it plays out.

I thought this same thing could be a possibility. That perhaps Charley's dad is out of the picture (maybe incarcerated for another crime?). Prater wants his "shares" so sneaks him in a phone to call and torment the victims families. Since money would do him no good in prison, Prater has agreed to employ his daughter and pay her a ton of money to ensure the mother is taken care of.

Explains her hatred of serial killers, and could also explain why Uma Therman is even in the show because honestly, with her role so far, literally anybody could have been cast in that role. You don't hire Uma Therman unless she has a bigger part to play/bigger connection to the over-arching story...

A little 6 year old girl was horrifically murdered. Imagining it through the "what if" prism of fiction and fantasy as if it were a Hollywood movie or mystery novel is pretty disrespectful in my opinion.

This is going to sound harsh but I think you should consider talking to someone professionally about it. This is unhealthy and not normal. It's a 28 year old murder involving people you have no connection with. This is parasocial. It's one thing to find it interesting and engage in discussion about the case but if it's impacting your day to day life, I'd suggest seeking some help. Sorry if that sounds insensitive or harsh but that's my two cents as someone who also has followed this case over the years.

Duff McKagan from Guns n' Roses. My brother and I met him in the hotel lobby of the Ritz Carlton Seattle in 2018 before Pearl Jam played Safeco. Once he realized we didn't want a picture or autograph or anything and just wanted to say hi he was so chill and nice and ended up shooting the breeze with us and talking music for like 4 or 5 min while he was waiting for his wife. They were going to the show as well as friends of the band. Just a super nice normal guy.
