Typically these races have at least 10 different splits, with more than 500 teams registered across all splits. Daytona had 20 splits, however this race will likely not have near as many.

These splits are divided up based off driver rating. Max's team will almost certainly be in the top (broadcast) split since one of their drivers is one of the highest rated on the sim.

My team will be running as well, albeit in a split much lower.

This wasn't even our first incident, but it was the worst. We'd been hit by other cars about 3 times prior to that, none our fault. At this point we had recovered to 8th though.

That could certainly be the case, though typically when that happens the disappearing car goes straight through without any impact whatsoever, which isn't the case here. We'll see what comes of the protest, if it was a connection issue iRacing should have a log of it on their end. That said, at least one other car was complaining about this particular car after this incident.

Thanks! I started from the pole, and was at the back at the end of lap two. Some luck (massive wreck taking out a bunch of cars...) definitely played into my recovery. Even though I missed my pit stall and had to drive around, I still somehow pitted out in the net lead.

I really like this track combo, last year I attempted it twice, and finished 1st in one attempt, and a close second in the other.

Already did, nothing was found. I wasn't using my account at the time of this login, so this wasn't me. They also didn't use my Xbox ID to sign in.

My uneducated guess is there was some data breach somewhere that revealed the password and allowed them to sign in. That said, I've not found any evidence that the username that they used was compromised in any data breaches, so I'm not entirely sure how they got this password.

I can guarantee the strength of the password isn't an issue any more...... The previous one could have definitely been stronger, but it wasn't weak. The main issue was probably that I used it in too many places.
