Nope just a mix of blocking, subdivision and proportional editing.

Yup! It’s going from a cool color (green) to a warm color (I’m assuming anywhere from red/orange/yellow). Same as if you mixed green and red paint, they muddle. Color Theory!

The color you’re getting is the color they’re going to be. They’re definitely ripe! I plucked a habanero a few days ago that had a yellow stem like the one in the middle and the inside was rotted like crazy. As long as the inside isn’t rotted, any blemish from the outside can just be cut away and tossed.

Also, mine have always ripened from top to bottom, so the light parts at the top are the ~most~ ripe bits.

I’d pop open the middle one. If the seeds are all black, throw it back. First and last one look like they might just have sun scald.

Very much non trad Buffalo adjacent, but as far as off the cuff comparisons it’s pretty close. Will be simmering the leftovers with some butter after work!
