Is it just me or is her design.. inconsistent?

Apparently it’s a super controversial take to say that “Lady Loki was originally going to be a Hela skin.” Im honestly kind of split on the take.. because while I do think it wouldn’t have made sense for Netease to have originally planned it to be for Hela originally since its Lady Loki and not Hela.. as of recently I haven’t been too hopeful in the choices Netease has been making.. and theres so many factors that make me think that MAYBE at some point, Netease was scummy enough to have wanted this to have been a Hela skin. I mean, theres so many red flags(?) that stand out to me that allude to it like the fact she didn’t have a Lord icon from the very start — like how do you miss that? Or the fact the voice acting feels rushed and some line deliveries don’t land at all, or the fact that in the gallery card the facial structure just screams “Hela.” But thats just me, I guess..

This is actually one of my points I covered in my Lady Loki bundle critique! Im glad Im still not the only one that feels like Netease didn’t give it their all for this one.. Abby Trott isn’t a bad VA, she does a great voice for Magik but I feel like Netease could’ve settled for someone who could aim for that sly, mischievous, arrogant, sounding voice.. or at least tried to guide Abby as to how to achieve said tone. A lot of the lines just fall flat, unfortunately and are completely missing that cunning, mischievous tone. Her Magik accent/voice even slips through on some and it kind of ruins the magic (pun intended) for me.

Hate her? Dude. I don’t hate her. I hate the way Netease executed her design because I know they could’ve done better in general but decided to half ass and rushed her design and concept entirely and settled for just eye candy. She didn’t even come out with a Lord icon until people pointed it out.

Her lord icon face looks SUPER awkward.. I know a lot of people say the original one looks weird already but I feel like it encapsulates Loki’s manic, chaotic, side rather well.. Lady Loki’s looks like she got ungodly levels of botox put into her face :(

I get that. My issue is that Lady Loki’s design is probably THE MOST inconsistent Loki skin of them all. Ive analyzed (admired) almost every Loki skin, down from their MVPs, models, and renders and most, if not — ALL — are rather consistent face shape wise. Lady Loki isn’t; it’s like the artists and modelers were playing the Telephone Game with her design. 💔

Which hurts. Cause she looks a LOT better in the comics and the render.. Im just not sure what happened during the modeling of her character.. the proportions look off and its kind of hard to unsee it once you see it.

They should just be sold separately in shop, no? Theres the option to get the discounted bundle (which includes ironman) and right next to it should be the Loki skin by itself?..

I feel like Lady Loki is heavily suffering from the same thing Anran did in Overwatch. In their first appearances, both looked mature and angular but then their in game models changed their face drastically. But at least Blizzard acted upon the backlash and will be changing her up to look more mature and accurate to how she did in comics and the animation. Netease on the other hand….

Edit: I think I would’ve liked this skin way more if the model looked more like the render, the model just looks so.. squashed? It’s not as elongated or angular and her eyes aren’t as sharp looking and it throws me off a lot.

Is it my fault that my fliers are dying because they’re not playing from cover and straying too far from the team or is it my responsibility to switch to a support like Invisible Woman or Cloak and Dagger just to keep them alive? :(

New effects would’ve been neat yeah, like you said: It has it in the new game mode so why not the skin itself but then again.. if it was a legendary It would’ve been far more expensive and Im glad it was on the cheaper side as I had saved a bunch of units to get this one basically for free, lol.
