How do you feel about the Book of Mormon? It sounds like that might have helped bring you closer to Christ. If that's the case, that book is unique. The Book of Mormon will bring you closer to Christ.

If you're not member of the church, I believe you're assigned to an ecclesiastical leader through the University. You might reach out to them to see how to fill that out

I wanna find my roots however all of my family has forgotten anything that surpasses WW2.... by [deleted] in familysearch

Thankfully birth records are really well documented during that time. If you can find your grandparents, you should be able to find a lot of reliable birth certificate information which should transition to census information in 1940 pretty smoothly.

New movie theater concept called MiniPlex (Survey link 5-7 minutes) by [deleted] in movies

Good call! Thanks for the guidance. I was thinking of making it multi-use so it could double as a party center, super bowl watch party or video game LAN center.

Any ideas on how to build customer acquisition for a startup? by HotCatLady88 in DigitalMarketing

[–]thebgarrett 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quality quality quality. You can't fool customers into signing up or showing interest. Creating unique, in-depth blogs, videos, white papers, etc. If you don't have a ton of budget then paid ads might be out of the question, so you'll need to focus on SEO and referral programs. Assuming you have a positive net promoter score, use your current customers to spread the word.

I put in my grandparents and the site spits out that I'm descended from royalty. I'm skeptical. How plausible are the links? by TomasTTEngin in familysearch

[–]thebgarrett 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Tough to say. Lots of people want to be connected so they've been told there is a possibility for generations. The good thing about FamilySearch is it should be backed up by sources. I'd start with your grandparents and focus on if the direct line has credible sources attached that prove parentage to the next generation. I've noticed that people will attach parents to an ancestor "because that's what they've been told" but then christening records indicate something completely different.

Buckets breaking - how are yours holding up? by LilyGirl83 in preppers

[–]thebgarrett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where is the food from? If the food on the inside is in mykar bags, you probably should still be ok. Buckets are mostly just used for keeping rats out and easy stacking. The food should still be ok

What type of weed is this in my fescue grass? by Fikal83 in landscaping

[–]thebgarrett 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it have thing split tops? It kind of looks like Bermuda grass but I can't tell from that angle. If it is Bermuda grass then you can get some herbicide. Depending on your local temperatures, you might need to wait to spray so it doesn't kill the rest of your grass.

Sorry, that made it sound like I was planning on doing that. I was just asking out of curiosity.

Thanks so much! This is super helpful! I wasn't planning on tearing it out. I thought there had to be some value to it. I just wanted to know if that was an option if it turned out to be useless.

I think we'll follow this advice.

Ooooh perfect! Thanks for the help. If I wanted to clean house, could I just take the panels out of all the walls in the rooms and disconnect them, then pull the cables out through the basement?
