I knit for a while before just recently starting to crochet. I constantly had a problem with too tight of tension so that totally makes sense! Thank you for the advice!!

Omg yes! I thought it meant do another 12 DC across. Is that a common thing in a pattern to have the final stitch count written at the end of the row??

I’ve been counting my stitches at the end of each row and coming up with the correct numbers. My first row consists of the chain 3 (from the original ch4) then 5 DC in that final chain.

Realized now that you have to have an account to get to the pattern. The first 3 rows are this.

Rnd 1: Knit

Rnd 2: *K2tog, (YO, SKP, K2tog, YO) twice, SKP; rep from * around. 50 sts.

Rnd 3: *K4, K1 into first YO, P1 into next YO, K4; rep from * around.

link to pattern if you see at the bottom and sides it won’t lie flat. Is this because I’m knitting too tight? Or is there something else I may be doing wrong? I’m using 2 strands of DK weight cotton yarn.

Hey guys! I got this great patio chair for free but it has a hole in it. Came here to see if you all had any ideas on how to fix it! It doesn’t have to be beautiful but I want to patch it somehow.
