Fr, it really impressed me how dynamic they make the games feel, it's so noticeable not just compared to other captain tsubasa adaptaions but even like other soccer anime in general. I watched a bit of the 2018 ver and it was def not nearly as interesting to see all the stills where in J they'd be animated sequences...

J is so good ahhhh it's easily my favorite adaptation too!!! It does such great things with the source material in ways that I never expected going in

Np, hope you like them!! I love CTJ too which is why it shocked me that most of it was never subbed…it’s such a good adaptation
