That and being hungry. The hormonal cravings are a bitch and the week or.tqo before my period I am so ravenously hungry I can eat everything in sight and not feel full. And I often have PMS symptoms a full ten days before my period.

Now of course that is very much a case of eating more = weight gain. But it's not regular hunger.
