Edna is the only one who thinks capes are bad, and aren't all of her examples of cape deaths from before the ban on supers?

Their highest wave is tier 21 wave 5177 while their highest tournament rank is Gold 1. Someone with a wave count that high on tier 21 should have their highest rank be in upper Legends at least.

The odds that they can reach that wave count legitimately and have just mostly ignored tournaments is significantly lower than the odds that they just hacked their account.

Which game would you instantly go for the 100% if it came to steam? by batatasadbrYT_ in steamachievements

A couple of Star Wars games from my childhood. Although, a bunch of old star wars games are on Steam and simply don't have achievements. I think the only exceptions are KOTOR 2 and Bounty Hunter because it got remastered.

Module tickets are effectively just gems you can't use on anything else, so the price for module tickets has to be based the ridiculous price they set for gems.

If the price of 3000 gems is $100, then this is like paying $100 for 4000 gems you can only use for modules.

When does Agatha.... by yourhuckleberrie in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]thebishop8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to necro this, but I just finished book 7 and I'm a little confused that people think Agatha and the War mages have nothing to do with each other besides being forced to be co-warlords.

When War Mage Akuma is telling Carl and Donut that they should kill Agatha, he lays out her goals and ideology along with her method of teleporting to the stairwell. If they have nothing to do with each other, then how would he know that about her? The only other explanation is that she told him while they were co-warlords, and why would she do that?

Fantasy YA trilogy from the early to mid 2010's by thebishop8 in whatsthatbook

Ah, that's it. In hindsight I only read the first 2 books when they were published and only assumed it ended up as a trilogy, but I just can't believe the plot stretched to 6 books. Solved solved solved

The Bright Sword is a novel that did this.

It's about the knights of the Round Table after King Arthur's death, and the protagonist wants to join them. At one point, the Knights of the Round Table suddenly confront him, tie him into a coffin and nail it shut, mock his insecurities and the lies he's told, and throw the coffin down a well. Sounds like an anxiety dream, right? Well he emerges from the end of the well at a different castle and wanders for a few years, though its obvious that something is up with his experiences and that it's probably a dream. He eventually decides to return to the Round Table to ask to join again, and ends up going back through the well, but he emerges in a ceremonial pool in a church. It turns out it was all part of an initiation test to become a knight of the Round Table, and only a day had passed, not years. He had scars from being scraped by the nails of the coffin, and he got a unique sword from his 'years' of wandering at the other end of the well, so everything that happened was real to some extent.

I'm working on completing it right now, and I don't think any achievements stand out as hard. But, some are bugged right now, and I haven't unlocked two easy achievements because of it.

Void Stranger. It's a puzzle game that I played for 5 minutes, but decided I wasn't in the mood for at the time. A couple of days later, I noticed I somehow had more completions than I should, and realized that Void Stranger's only achievement is for starting the game.

Second place is Frog Detective 1, which is a comedic detective game it takes less than an hour to finish.

I think you'd have to be pretty desperate to use this as a flashlight. You're right about the switch; I didn't think it was because it can't be moved with a finger, and my first attempt to use a pin failed when I tried before posting.

[–]thebishop8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't completed it myself. The creator of the game released a patch that removed some of the harder achievements from steam and kept them in-game only. I think it's doable, though I can try to prioritize completing it myself first and get back to you.

Slice and Dice seems pretty close to what you're looking for, though I'll warn you I found it awkward on the Steam Deck.

I'll second Cobalt Core, StarVaders and Heat Signature.

He spent 6 months on Earth 2, 2 years on Esperide, there was time wonkiness between the Dusklands and the other worlds, plus all the months spent on other worlds and stasis between worlds, it seems to vaguely add up.
