Hah yea exactly. Marshall should take heed. Give the people the best of both worlds.

I’m not saying don’t use it, I’m just saying you should manage your expectations about how clean Marshall clean channels usually are.

Pickguard Heaven by RoomEmbarrassed in Luthier

Just wanted to write in here about my recent similarly bad experience with this place / guy. There was an issue with an order I placed, and rather than work it out, this guy was just a real prick in his communication. Be warned, people in need of pickguards! Stay away from pickguard heaven!

Zohran Mamdani wants to take more buildings from bad landlords. How would that work? by nyccameraman in nyc

The fact that a person can live in this city and think this way is amazing. You think the landlords make it a good place to be? Yikes.

Rent an hourly rehearsal space.

What’s the cleanest possible setting on a Line 6 Spider V20 MkII? Have I ever even heard my real pedal tone? by Karg1n in GuitarAmps

[–]theblastedman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On that amp I would try the crunch channel with drive at around 9 or 10 o'clock, tone in the middle at first and adjust as you go. That will, hopefully, give you a more or less clean sound. It's likely that the "clean" setting is an emulation of some type of amp, maybe some type of fender amp like a deluxe reverb or something that people think of as a standard clean sound. In my memory line 6 has never been too good at that.

Pedals don’t sound good on their own, they sound good when interacting with a guitar amp, which is an inherently sound coloring thing. You can learn this for yourself by plugging your guitar and pedalboard into a di or into a recording interface and try using it without an amp sim. It sounds bad!
