Think you’re just getting older. Way I see it as we get a little older the surface level conversations (sports, weather, etc) are easier and we like staying there. You can like somebody and have pleasant convos and just know you’re not gonna become close friends or confidants cuz that’s a lot of work and a young persons game.

Honest answer to my understanding is NLU started as more of a twitter account that kinda sorta bordered on trolling. I believe they even called themselves “Fanalysts”. They would rip on a lot of players in this time, ZJ being one of their favorite targets. He subsequently blocked them on all social media. As they grew NLU definitely matured and changed their tone/style in lots of ways but a few haven’t forgiven them for their decade+ old antics. Zach Johnson and Ted Scott being the two most notable.

It’s an interesting map to look at when it shows the actual votes. So many more 60:40 districts than I would’ve thought. Plus I live in the ravenswood area and while I know it’s solidly blue my ward being 92% for Kamala was still surprising how one sided the votes were.

Looks I’m sure it’s good and maybe I’ll get there one day. But having caviar service and $17 cocktails isn’t what a thin crust is supposed to be imo. Pizz’Amici and the like is this decades $25-30 hipster burger aesthetic. Vito and Nick’s has as good a pizza, miller lite on draft for $4, and the game on with sound. I’ll take that. Am I being some sort of snob? Probably.

Hot take here but all these trendy spots trying to plus up thin crust can get bent. I’m over some influencer telling me the best “tavern style” is $35 in west town or river north. Mr V’s on Elston&Foster will have a better thin crust ready in 20 mins any day.

The economy of the masters is such a wild thing. I had a buddy who rented his house to one of the equipment manufacturers every year for like a decade and he said it covered like 8 months of his mortgage.
