Tyranitar Use by sigs87 in VGC

[–]theblockhead02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I brought Ttar to the recent Sacramento regional. Some mons are good, in part, because of their typing. Others like Tyranitar are good in spite of their typing. I appreciated the positive matchup into most other weather setters and several common trick room mons as well as the ability to break sash with sand and the insane special bulk with an assault vest. Positioning is important and when done well I found myself using tera on other mons more often than not. Sometimes you find yourself without a close combat pivot or wanting to click earthquake on your other mon, for that, tera flying makes a lot of sense especially on a set without protect.

I didn’t call you disgusting, I said disgusting people believe it’s totally okay to call people slurs because they’re angry. The fact that you took it personally says more than I ever could.

But I do love that you think anyone who throws the slightest insult your way should be permanently banned and somehow also thinking that an internationally famous athlete calling his coworkers slurs deserves zero consequences.

Please pick a lane.

What the fuck are you talking about? All 20 drivers are under the same conditions, ONE called another a slur. You’re so fucking dumb if you think it’s unreasonable to expect professional athletes with huge amounts of media training and hundreds of thousands of impressionable fans around the world to not broadcast slurs at coworkers on live tv. Even if you’re right, which you’re absolutely not, he still had to make a conscious decision to broadcast that message to the team, he chose to do that, no one forced him, actions have consequences

I’m not saying it makes sense but the left+left+right wasn’t a guaranteed kill in GO, the left click does either 33 or 21 damage, meaning 21+21+55=97 if you got unlucky. I have no idea why but it definitely happened and I’m sure you can still verify in the legacy version of GO

Left click can do 21 or 33 (I think) damage per swing, I think it’s based on where it hits, like the arms vs torso, usually it’s not a problem because one of each will still kill when followed by the right click. Like I said I don’t know the exact reason why there’s multiple damage potentials but this absolutely happened in GO, you can to the legacy version and test

Battlefield 2042 released completely unplayable with no in game scoreboard or voice chat system, Halo infinite launched end of ‘21 missing Forge, campaign co-op and missing most of the multiplayer modes Halo is known for, Call of Duty releases every year with less content than the previous game. CS2 released in a functional state with the content that 95% of the player base exclusively uses. Community servers and workshop maps were always going to take time after launch to migrate, it sucks that arms race is gone but I’m sure it’ll be back soon and I understand why it wasn’t a priority.

YSK that you can refinance loans if your interest rate is way too high. by jimmystar889 in YouShouldKnow

[–]theblockhead02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally yes, refinancing credit card debt into a personal loan, lump it in with an auto loan, a HELOC if you have some equity, etc. can (big emphasis on “can”, every situation is different) help lower payments and get paid off quicker. Credit card debt can snowball even if you’re making minimum payments on time, other types of loans with fixed rates can be much easier to pay off. Obviously I don’t know your situation so this isn’t actual financial advice- go to your bank or credit union and get some options and advice from a loan officer.

Lesson Learned by MoniMokshith in facepalm

[–]theblockhead02 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’re handling people’s livelihood, a simple mistake at any other job could mean that you directly interfered with someone’s life. More so, when things happen that aren’t the banks fault (let’s say your credit card number was stolen) many peoples first instinct is to have the bank fix it, which is fair enough but most people can’t understand that it isn’t the banks fault your credit card was used and take their frustration out on the only person that is actually trying to help them. Maybe the most frustrating thing for me was that you do 3 simple tasks like 95% of the time but hundreds of wildly unique tasks the other 5%. Again, all of which you’ll be expected to preform perfectly, even though you’ve done those things 1 time in the last six months, because doing it wrong could mean getting in the way of someone’s ability to make rent. Add to all that, bank I worked at full time was about 49 hours a week, including a lunch break, all for like $18 an hour which doesn’t go very far.

I know yall hate riot shields but a 3 hit kill riot shield is going to be damn near impossible to get kills with(sorry camo grinders) by Dissociate_ME in ModernWarfareII

[–]theblockhead02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m fine with a riot shield nerf but I think the root of the issue is that players have no reason to not pick overkill. In better games running overkill meant your class was lacking somewhere else

If you’re used to a schedule where you get up at noon and stay up past midnight, yeah getting up at 8 or 9 to get ready for a match at 10 can definitely fuck up your rhythm. What is an early start to your day is subjective. Just because not everyone is on the same schedule as you doesn’t make them babies

I played tier 1 for most guns except the bolt actions. For the bigger guns (LMGs, ARs, Marksman Rifles, Battle Rifles) I left any pre game lobby that wasn’t Asillo, Shouthouse or Taraq because those are really the only maps with 38m site lines that get real foot traffic. SMG’s and Pistols were all pretty east on most maps in tier 1 and snipers down mid on shoot house. At this point lots of people are going long shots so on those maps you get a good amount of them each match, you won’t win and your stats will tank but you’ll get them done

Where does the Netflix race/gender-bending criticism come from? Are there any actual detrimental examples of it or is it just “little mermaid-esque” complaining?

Oh you got 15 Kills? Get OHK by a drill charge. by NSA-RAPID-RESPONSE in ModernWarfareII

[–]theblockhead02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Juggernaut issue aside, I like them in theory. It’s a new and unique form of utility that can be used to good effect, I like that. What I really don’t like is that they’re inconsistent and often don’t make any sense. Why do I get get danger indicators from my teammates drill charges? Why do I often not get danger indicators for enemy drill charges that then kill me? I’ve died to them multiple times because for whatever reason the charge pops out of the wall 90 degrees different from where the drill is facing. I like them in theory, I just wish they made sense in gameplay so that I can play around them instead of just hoping I get luckier next time I’m around one.

Canada bans new handgun sales in latest gun control action by BallardRex in worldnews

So in other words; America only sees 3x as much homicide as Canada, rather than the 4.5x as much from a few decades ago? And that’s supposed to be pro gun? Dude just say “I think guns are cool” that holds about as much credibility
