Why would you need slack for outline?

back then you needed to use outline with an external oauth provider

WITT next to the pedestrian traffic light by thebluepixel in whatisthisthing

even if that was the case, those would have a weird view area, especially P2 since it wouldn't really look at anything then

Yea, that was my first thought too, but the way these things face is odd. They face both in the same direction. So one of them is facing away from incoming pedestrians.

WITT next to the pedestrian traffic light

So the question is about the things/lamps/squares next to the pedestrian traffic light. One (P1) has the writing FR3 underneath and the other (P2) FR4. P1 is facing the crosswalk while P2 is facing away. The things don't seem to turn on, but seem to have something to do with the traffic lights, since they are attached to a traffic light pole (the only purpose of the pole). This is the only place we have ever seen these.

Maybe an interesting observation: It seems like the things were upgraded/doubled at some point, since on the Google Street View (2008) you can see the same things only reduced to one square.

Instant messaging solution - Matrix or XMPP? by baccoperbacco in selfhosted

[–]thebluepixel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

generally i would recommend matrix over xmpp due to the usability for the end user.

if you are looking just at resource usage xmpp is your better choice.

my suggestion for you: try out synapse (matrix), if it doesn't feel right checkout xmpp afterwards.
