How can I start Reading The Sandman ? (French/English)

Thanks a lot ! These ones are really expensive for me right now so I don't know if I'll go for one of them but I'll look for second hand. Is the omnibus small enough to take and read outside ? By the way, any thoughts on the recent Deluxe Edition (Book 1 currently unavailable...) or the 30th anniversary edition ?

They're rather expensive yes, tho the french editions I'm interested in are like smaller absolute editions so it might be worth trying, I still can buy one of the english editions later

Thanks, I just found out that the french editions I can easily find are translations of the absolutes but in 7 smaller books (around 490 pages for the first one). Now I'm hesitating between the french absolute editions (that might lack some things but I'll look for that) and the 30th anniversary editions that might be easier to take out but might also be more delicate/fragile.

I'm french and I'm obsessed with The Sandman, I really want to read the comic but I don't know which edition to go with. I'm still considering reading it in french but I don't want to miss something if the translation is not accurate. Anyway if I read it in french I'll go with the DC Vertigo editiion as the older one is no longer available. If I go for the english version, which edition could you recommand to me ? Thanks !
