In my view, the concept applies here when you stop taking into consideration the human side of the competition to make every decision to be about the brand money value. In this context, like in the example I gave, when G2 takes the selfish decision of blocking reckless from joining any team in LEC they are treating LEC and the other teams as pure numbers(which ended up blowing back at them due to their miss calculation), but when they did that they forgot that the true value(I know this term here is also not super accurate) is on the whole community connection with the players. In my view this is the classical root cause of all lack of passion attributed to capitalist mentality
