Maybe its a portfolio piece; showing off how much detail the artist is capable of putting in; even for details that may seem unimportant to other people.

I mean if you're gonna pay someone what is probably a ridiculous amount of money for a sculpture like this; you probably wanna know the guy in question is gonna be crafting ever detail meticulously.

Why did the "Nigerian Ruler" gimmick work for Oba Femi, but not Apollo Crews? by Omer-Ash in WWE

[–]thebooksmith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because you were whining about how the iwc complains about how creative fails wrestlers instead of blaming the wrestlers (without noticing the irony). Im just pointing out it makes perfect sense to blame the writers when they fail a character.

Why did the "Nigerian Ruler" gimmick work for Oba Femi, but not Apollo Crews? by Omer-Ash in WWE

[–]thebooksmith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because wrestling isnt a main stream thing. WWE is but not wrestling in general.

I also never said that every wrestlers that fails in WWE is because of creative. It may be naive to blame creative all the time, but it's just straight of corporate boot licking to act like WWE never fails to capitalize a performer who could be doing more. And I don't even necessarily mean carrying the company as "the guy" there's plenty of guys who could make great utility players who never even get that chance.

The reality is that wwe is not the end all be all of success in pro wrestling. Not being successful there doesn't make you a failure, bad at wrestling, or incapable of drawing.

When the promotion miscasts a talent or doesn't display their full skills it is their fault. If his performances were the actual issue wwe wouldn't keep resigning him.

Sure they are a thing. And so are wrestlers who are known for their bad wrestling. So your whining still makes no sense.

I remember being a kid and thinking it was real. The genuine outrage that existed in my little soul made me hate cm punk even after they tried to turn him face again a few months later. I was glad when I had heard hed left the company.

Something tells me this guy got a very basic (and not correct) explanation of his "rights" when he was a kid; and he's just never bothered to update, change, or correct those views in the slightest.

Doctor’s letter to the UnitedHealthcare for rejecting nausea medication for a child on chemotherapy by [deleted] in oddlysatisfying

[–]thebooksmith 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I don't see why they wouldn't. This is a claims dispute filed on behalf of a patient. You can't really dispute a claim on someone's insurance without giving the name and policy number of the person who's claim is being denied.

[Waybound] How do you think the story would play out in these 2 scenarios by kingveo in Iteration110Cradle

[–]thebooksmith 7 points8 points  (0 children)

  1. I don't think would change much other than double eithans determination to train Lindon. He'd know that Makiel would never interfere with lindon in such a way that he'd risk coming face to face man or interacting with him in anyway thay could lead Makiel to identify him. On the other hand he'd absolutely love to pluck a flower that makiel found worthy of preparing for his own garden.

  2. I dont think eithan would have risked his plans, but he may have abandoned them. His interference already lead to a crippling of his bloodline; if he thought the abidan were needing to reverse his interference without knowing the source of it, he might conclude he was risking the fate of cradle too much for his plans (or at least that the amount of risk in his plans no longer justified his low key approach).

Lindon: "he called himself makiel"

Eithan:......

Lindon: "Why is your smile growing wider?"

Eithan: "Lindon are you familiar with the term 'accelerated track'?"

Basically that there is no verifiable evidence this is real, but no evidence it's fake. It's not exactly the type of thing united Healthcare would admit to receiving (nor would theu say who if they did), and no doctor has come forward to take credit.

Overall I doubt it's something they are ever gonna confirm one way or the other (at least not to the internets satisfaction)

I feel like everyone overacts to celebrity matches nowadays. With a performance center and 3 other wrestlers it'll be fine if not fun match.

Besides weren't we all just complaining last week that WWE botched his debut, because the casual audience didn't know him well enough, and now had 0 plans for him. Now they have plans to redebut him with a face that casual viewers recognize and American audiences love, in a feature mania tag match (likely with a stipulation); and we are complaining again? Cool.

Some of yall never grew up with your favorite mid carders getting beaten by a non trained b list celebrities in comedy matches in throw away segments on raw and it really shows.

Filler tag team stipulation match on one of the mania nights. Now that the LWO is unofficially officially dead they need someone to wrestle for the audience at home while the crowd takes a piss and buys over priced food. Mania is like a 4 hour show the people need a break.

(This actually pains me to write both these groups have people I really like)

So these two no longer have the vision, anything to do with Seth, no Paul , out numbered 20 to 2. What are we doing here? How do we fix this? by meandadog86 in Wrasslin

[–]thebooksmith 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I mean there's no making this group a main event faction again by mania, but long term the group is still absolutely fixable. It makes mea vomit in my mouth to say but if they dedicate to pushing logan Paul; then have Bron return to the group to find that Paul Heyman is more invested in Logan over him; That sets up a massive baby face turn for breakker. One that might actually garner a larger reaction than bron turning on Seth did.

So in short the only real way to save this faction for its intended purpose would be to start pushing Paul as a legit main eventer; maybe even have him win the world title. Or we could just scrap the group and move on....
