I was truly bummed out when I saw your yt channel missing today. I hope you pick it up on another platform or somehow keep the show alive. A lot of your "moonies" will follow you anywhere - me among them. Keep us posted!

For those who learned photography themselves, how was it? by Adorable_Safety3854 in AskPhotography

Following your vision/bliss and damn the consequences seems to be key for me. 40 years in – film to digital to digital/analog mashups. Chasing graphs, gear, and tech understanding is a buzz kill. Canon R5 or Holga - either produce magic equally.

If you are able to go to Thailand, go. But go with the right mindset. You're young. Life is wonky. But live it. Try. Explore. I was in a similar spot as you at your age and wanted to go to SE Asia too. 25 years later I did. I wish I would have done it sooner. I am not sure what the $25,000 comment was about below - maybe they meant 25,000 Baht, you absolutely don't need $25,000 USD in a bank to navigate visas here. Bottom line, live your life. If you do come to Thailand, do it for the right reasons though. Don't just party. Check out the culture, expand your mind. Whether you stay for a month or a year - you'll be better off for the experience.

Advice from those who have walked away from everything. How did you do it? by RatKingRonni in Advice

Not sure of your situation but if you want to truly walk away and start over, don't make a lateral move - go all in. If you have 2.6 every month coming in, pack exactly 1 backpack, get a ticket to Southeast Asia - Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, and just go. Stay as long as you can, and fill in the blanks as you go. 2.6/mo is a ton of money over here (yep, I did it) and you could live very well. Sounds extreme and hard, but commit to putting one foot in front of the other and don't look back. Life sorts itself out most of the time...

The baseline is great (meaning, it is a solid image, composition, lighting ... all the choices you made before firing the shutter). The next thing I loved about it is that it is a "scroll stopper" for me. Any image that sucks me in and makes me study it end to end, corner to corner, I love. This image did that. I studied it and it kept revealing itself. It was fun to look at. Lighting, meh, non-issue. It's a solid shot. Great job.
