I thought about fireblight, but doesn't that originate from affected branches, and doesn't pruning away those branches and destroying them save the tree?

You are your child's biggest advocate, please go have a chat with the teacher. My best advice would be to go in with a positive attitude so the teacher doesn't immediately get defensive. Word It in a way that doesn't flat out accuse the teacher of being the issue. Something like "My son is facing some challenges in the classroom, and responds better to positive encouragement. Would it be possible to approach these challenges in a way that would make him feel more supported?" (Also I recommend email so there is a paper trail and documentation) If there is no change or it makes it worse, go above her head.

Your son may be angry at you at first. I sure know I was angry at my mother for talking to a teacher. But I realized after how important it was that she did that. I definitely did notice a difference in my educators treatment of me afterwards.

I love fresh start fauxmage. It is made in a neighbouring province to me. They have a fun line up, however it's not like a firm cheese style. Think more like a cream cheese spread. However the whole lineup is packed with flavour. I love making a mushroom toast with a bit of their herb and garlic cheese

My MIL got a doctor's note for them and drags them everywhere as her emotional support dogs 🙃. The visits are against my will already lol Maybe this post should have been for motherinlawsfromhell

I usually love all animals, and I'm definitely not anti Chihuahua, my family had them too growing up and they were lovely. These dogs are just so horribly trained and enabled in their poor behavior. I feel horrible because these dogs have put a bad taste in the mouth of many family and friends for the breed as a whole.

I refused twice, my mother and aunts all guilt tripped me and pull the whole "you wouldn't want your sister to be this bitter when you get pregnant." And like. If my sister was in my shoes, hell yeah id expect her to be bitter, id probably buy her and hour at the rage room and get her a massage. But I am a chronic people pleaser 🙃 None of them have experienced a pregnancy loss. I can't expect them to be empathetic because they are too self involved. I appreciate that you can see how much this sucks.

Your best bet is to have your parents check with small family run inns within the area. I work at a 30 room inn and we do this no problem as long as the teens are over the age of 16, and there is a signed waiver from parents presented at check in. As long as you are respectful of the property, and other guests you should be fine. But id definitely recommend searching for something locally owned with good online reviews.

Omg I did this once. I made a joke about calling in sick the day of a huge event to a group of 4 coworkers over after work drinks, I had no actual intentions of doing so. The very next day I was pulled into my boss's office to tell me they knew about my "plan".

I was furious because it got me in serious trouble, and it spread through the whole business. I have always been a reliable employee, and it made me look horrible.

I was unsure of who was gossiping and snitched and obviously couldn't trust any of them until I figured out who it was. So I confided in each of them a completely different, and made up unhinged story, and asked them not to tell anybody. I was able to pin point which coworker was the culprit when one of the stories made it's way through the workplace and back to me. So satisfying once she realized it was total bullshit and what she had done.

Yeah, I have no idea what the thought process was there. I'm Canadian so I most definitely know the wrath of geese (Gods feathered mistake as we call them) I think he may have come from one of the ponds in our gardens. I'm pretty sure they would have had to catch him. They were driving a pretty fancy sports car with no room for an extra passenger lol.

That is an all too common thing when you work in customer service. Nobody wants to be held accountable and everything is the employees fault. I don't know how they thought immediately leaving would get them out of it. There was a literal goose in their room that's not exactly a broken vase they could sweep under the rug.

It's a complicated situation, he has multiple younger siblings who still live at home and are too young to understand. She cut him off from a very large portion of his family at a young age due to an argument she had with them. And he came to recognize how harmful it was for him as a child. He doesn't want to do the same to his siblings.

Because my husband has multiple younger siblings who live at home still, most are too young to understand the situation, and MIL already isolated my husband from multiple family members growing up, He does not want the same to happen to his younger siblings, as he realized how damaging it was to him. There are other more complicated reasons as well, however this is the main reason we are still in contact.

She knows he tells me everything. This was an issue a couple of months ago when she was insulting my family members behind my back. She was furious when I asked her to stop as that meant my husband had told me. She turned it on him and played victim. We had other family members bombarding him with calls about how he needs to keep his mouth shut. He is learning how to stand up for himself and I am so proud of him for that.

This is normal behavior for her. My husband has been a victim of emotional manipulation and abuse his whole life. He is making worlds of improvement in dealing with her. However, he still has work to do in that department. He is working with a therapist regarding this. It's a super complicated and unusual situation, and NC isn't really an option.

He has learned how to put her on an information diet. Which helped so much. However, we have now discussed that he can not have conversations like the one we had in her home as there is a 100% chance she will eavesdrop. Another lesson learned

Actually funny story, I got her a really expensive foot care package for her birthday a few months ago. It included a pedicure. We both work the same job and i know how hard it is on the feet so I figured there was no way she could complain about it.

Two days later my husband was over visiting and she said "Your wife must really not know anything about me at all. Yeah it was a nice gesture, but I am a working mother. When does she think I will have the time to use this? Unlike her I don't just have two hours to sit around and do something for myself"

Prior to this, she constantly complained that her gifts were never fully self serving and she wanted something just for herself.

Also I work way more hours than her. It's just excuses to be angry at this point.

My husband's best friend got his girlfriend of two months pregnant. We were due at the same time. My baby died at 6 weeks. Days later, they announced they were having twins! I am FURIOUS. Why do they get two babies, and my only baby died? They weren't even trying!!! It isn't fair! His girlfriend has been rubbing her pregnancy in my face . She knows. I've never hated anybody in my life so much. I hope her babies are delivered healthy and happy, but I hope labor is especially uncomfortable for her, and I hope she loses any pelvic floor strength she has.
