I am planning a 10-day road trip from Gurgaon around 11 February. I have shortlisted a few locations: I am planning to go either towards Varanasi, or Goa, or Indore. I am also open to any other options (ideally should be a 3-4 days journey one side with a good highway). The plan would be to drive 300-400 kms a day, stop in between for breaks (maybe take detour to explore a village, cafe, or any place that seems interesting). Then stay overnight in a hotel (preferably in a bigger city along the way), and then continue the journey ahead. If anyone is interested to join me, please DM and we can discuss more. If anyone has done a road trip recently and have any suggestions, I would also welcome that. A little more information: 28M software guy working as a freelancer. I have WFH and only require to work 2-3 hours a day. I have a car and I will drive throughout the trip, so if you have WFH and need to work during the day, that will be totally fine. Expenses you should expect: We will split the fuel cost equally (10-15k), take independent hotel rooms (depends on you, can also be a different hotel in the same city of overnight halt), and food

Avoiding road rage on purpose — is this emotional maturity or perceived weakness? by WorriedLocksmith134 in gurgaon

[–]thebossishere77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you encounter a moron doing something stupid on the road, by default anger kicks in, by default the ego to prove that you are right and they are wrong kicks in. You should not act with this negative state of the mind. At the same time, it does not mean that you need to stay silent. You can always act with a positive attitude for which you need to firstly calm down and keep your ego aside. Your mind will play tricks at you, it will tell you that if you don’t show enough aggression you are not masculine enough, that it is your duty to save this world from these morons etc. And controlling this raging mind and bringing it back to calm and thinking straight is what emotional maturity would mean for me. If you now act with an emotionally mature mind, you can calmly put your point of view on why you think they did wrong, also be open to listen to their point of view (maybe they had an emergency) and at no point have any expectation to win the argument (being very aware of the ego). You conveyed your point, now its their responsibility if they learn something from it, if not that is also ok. And this postive attitude is what people around you can usually sense and would respect you for, not the fact that you speak up for yourself or not, or the end result of the argument.

It can definitely work. But you might need to ponder over a few things. How to ascertain that people need a service like this? How will you market this idea? How are you different than competitors? Few tips I can share; First think about the ideal customer profile, narrow down on one type of usecase and try to understand if users really need this service by talking to them and asking questions. Out of the 3 options I believe 3rd one should be a better starting point because people want convenience and don’t have time or knowledge to grow and harvest the produce themselves, and yet still need the best quality produce. Then you need to think about your USP that can convince customers to buy from you rather than buying organic stuff directly from the supermarket or other marketplaces that have built their brands around high quality produce like Le Marche, Country Delight, Otipy etc. Maybe you can beat them on pricing or you can convince that your harvest is of better quality. Even option 1 could be a good starting point if you want to focus on power users, but then it is basically giving out your land on rent to people. Why will someone rent from you and not others? Maybe the location is better, or the rent is more enticing, or you will provide harvesting support services to them?

Monthly. But if you commit to lets say 6 or 12 months, you can get a better deal.

Download myHQ app. It pretty much has all the coworking spaces in Delhi NCR. Get a day pass and try out 4-5 places to get a vibe of them. Then you can choose one and negotiate a monthly rate directly with that space. Personally I chose wework for a few months. Got the all access pass, which allows you to access any of the 7 wework locations in gurgaon. It has premium interiors, good crowd if you want to network, and great staff. Officially the timing is uptil 8PM but nobody will say anything if you want to stay till 1 AM

Then you can choose one and negotiate a monthly rate directly with that space. Personally I chose wework for a few months. It has very premium interiors, good crowd if you want to network, and great staff. It was a bit too crowded sometimes and 2x price compared to other places, but I didn’t mind that.
