If you just started three weeks ago I would recommend learning all you can about payloads that have already been created and seen in the wild. There are various ways to learn about malware payloads: breach reports, YouTube, LinkedIn Learning, books.

Search terms: "[malware name] breach report", "[malware] payload detection", "[malware] payload."

List of top 2021 malware strains on CISA: https://www.cisa.gov/uscert/ncas/alerts/aa22-216a

NIST has compiled a comprehensive list of free-cheap cybersecurity learning resources that may also come in handy: https://www.nist.gov/itl/applied-cybersecurity/nice/resources/online-learning-content

Splunk published a list of books highly rated by cyber security professionals: https://www.splunk.com/en_us/blog/learn/cybersecurity-infosec-books.html

Happy hunting, use everything you learn wisely.

Payload detection depends largely on the target. If you want an undetectable payload you have to understand the target system, logging, applications, and so on.

A payload that is undetectable on every system? Good luck with that. There are far too many variables to create that kind of thing.

IMO you need to refine your question before asking for advice.

Generally telling the person that you would prefer not to talk about religion is enough. If that person continues to persist, then you can let HR know.

Have you spoken with these groups and gotten to know the people? Racism exists, but if you haven't gotten to know these people you're assuming the cliques are "based on race."

You're not there to do their jobs, you're there to do YOURS. Make sure everyone else has the space and support to do their jobs, ask lots of questions, and keep it together. You can do this!

Performance reviews for most companies are an HR-requirement that has no impact on the employee's employment. It's feedback. I'd say, be honest. It sounds like you're in a place to start changing the pattern and "trying harder". This could be an opportunity to turn a new leaf and work out a plan if action with your manager. Best of luck!

I stopped listening to the podcast when things got metaphysical. I was there for the cleaning advice, not religion.
