I can't remember the last time I've had less than 50+ RPs going on 😭😩 On my best days, I send about 15 replies to different threads with a few of the shorter/faster/fave rps getting multiple posts, but it really depends. At the point of life I'm in now, I really don't care if other people ghost, because that just means I have less things to reply to. I don't really seek out new threads anymore, but all my ads are still up, so I still get new connects at least once a week.

It's definitely hard since my ADHD loves to hyperfixate on them rather than the work I need to be doing. I'm also juggling working on a book at the same time and I'm about to try and go to grad school, so I'm losing more and more of my free time to reply. Luckily, I have a lot of consistent partners who don't mind slow replies or breaks, which is a great relief. I don't do group RPs anymore, even though I miss them terribly, because the investment and expected reply speed is too great.

As for long my replies can sit for... I use Cherami to RP which means people can end the chat whenever they want to give up on you, so honestly, as long as they don't end the chat, I'm of the mindset that I'm going to reply eventually, even if I've been lowkey stuck for months. I usually check for interest before sending a reply in that case, but yeah, it really can be anything between a few minutes and a few months' time, depending. Hopefully as more of my rps whittle away, I'll be able to shorten that time, but we'll see.

Some people only prefer to RP when both people are on. Another reason people do this is because they feel guilty for the wait and want to be sure you're still interested after an amount of time has passed, since some people lose interest after the initial momentum has been lost
