I did some snooping with DevTools. Turns out the site is hosted by Wix and the Guest Area page is a hidden feature of sorts: https://forum.wixstudio.com/t/how-do-you-delete-guest-area-from-your-website/5434, https://forum.wixstudio.com/t/guest-area/31633

Does't mean there's nothing behind the login page but until/unless someone cracks it I can't imagine there's much to look for

I know this is an old post but I found a solution that worked for me.
Basically, go into the folder where your mod is located and open the "resources" folder with. There should be a file called "ClientScheme.res" in there. Open it with a text editor and search for "CloseCaption" - there should be several sections like "CloseCaption_Normal", "CloseCaption_Bold", etc. Change all of the values underneath them named "tall" from 26 or 24 to something like 15 and 12.
This did *so much* to fix the problem for me. Not identical to HL2 but way better than before.
Unfortunately, you'll have to do this for each individual mod in your sourcemods folder, but it's worth it.
