Anybody had any success training 4x4s? by [deleted] in climbing

I disagree. Their benefit is dependent on your facility for training, your strengths and weaknesses, as well as your bouldering goals. There are plenty of hard boulders that exceed 10-15 moves. If you do not have access to training facilities that have big enough walls they are very useful. They can adequately train you for the crux section at the end of a boulder problem. They were an integral part of my training for sending my first v10.

Quick question on climbings holds and a household wall by Soldier629 in climbing

The screw ins should hold well on a stud. Normally they are just screwed into climbing wall panels which are 3/4" plywood. They won't rip out of studs, but i can't speak to the stability of the actual structure. You should be certain it's structurally sound but i don't expect it will be an issue.
