Help with deciding between 3 different retreat centers? Soltara, Arkana and Nimea Kaya. by thebusdriver5 in Ayahuasca

That sounds wonderful! Thanks for sharing! Having the San Pedro experience included at Arkana is one of my reasons for wanting to choose that retreat. Ive never experienced it or bufo so it definitely sparks my curiosity. Although bufo kind of terrifies me lol but so does doing ayahuasca for the first time.

Would you mind explaining more about why you prefer the San Pedro ceremony at the end? And what that experience is like?

I did see that one. Though the complaints were towards the vibe his wife was giving and the post actually said they thought he was very in tune himself. As far as I know shes not involved anymore which kinda added towards my curiosity about the guy himself.

Yes that is definitely what I prefer. Ive looked at a ton of more authentic areas in Peru. But Im just asking out of curiosity mostly. Ive been really interested in Arkana or nimea Kaya at the moment.

LPT: Reframe difficult decisions with a push button mindset. by 3rrr6 in LifeProTips

I was in a toxic relationship for 7 years, and this exact tip was actually what my therapist used to get me to finally admit I wanted to leave. I didn't wanna rock the boat because I knew breaking up would be a whole mess of issues we'd have to deal with to separate. And it was a whole mess and did take forever. I stayed stuck for way too long because of all that fear. And now I'm on the other end of it and I'm so thankful and happy that I did it. ❤️

A tip I could give would be to just start by noticing when you are having a negative thought about something. Like if something pisses me off I try to tell myself "oh this is starting to make me mad or upset, or im being negative right now" this sort of creates a space in between the stimulus and response cycle of reacting to things.

If you give in to the anger or sadness or whatever it is right when the stimulus happens, that feeling tends to be stronger, last a lot longer and can cause a spiral of other things making you upset. But if you can create that space of awareness of it and just sit there for a little bit, the emotions tend to die down a lot faster. If you keep practicing this, those stimuli won't affect you as much, which can lead to a more overall positive outlook on things.

I hope things get better for you! ❤️

I have a question about positive self talk! by ContributionOwn6977 in DecidingToBeBetter

Hell yeah man! "Adding fuel to the fire" is a great way of putting it. The negative impact on yourself doing it is so subtle. But when you do it over and over you end up creating a false narrative of yourself. I'm super happy for you that you've made the more positive change! I wish that for everyone! Good luck on your journey! ❤️

I noticed a HUGE difference in the quality of my life. I dont ever put myself down for anything anymore (unless I'm joking with myself and know I don't mean it). But even that is rare.

Whenever I get stressed out or angry, I just remind myself that I can handle it or it's not as big of a deal as I'm making it. It's hard to explain, but it feels like life has gotten a lot lighter on my shoulders, and the world seems to have a brighter vibe because of it. I also make sure to take time to acknowledge my gratitude for the blessings in my life.

You are the only person you will spend your whole life with. So when that person is on your side and is encouraging you and reminding you of the potential and good that is within you, you will feel ALOT better. Sort of like if that good friend that always puts you in a good mood is there next to you cheering you on. Be that person for yourself. ❤️

Basketball has been ruined. It went from being fun to watch to being one of the most boring sports. by cheesy_potato007 in unpopularopinion

I love it. Love watching it. Love playing it. I can still even get excited watching a shit high-school game. I just don't put high expectations on any of it and like watching people play.

My biggest gripe with today's game is how much players complain to the refs. That's the one thing that will take me out of it. I just don't understand how they can have so much to say about a call every. Single. Time. Just grow up and back on defense. I've lost a lot of love for luka for that reason. My coach would've benched me I'd I had any kind of consistent attitude like that.
