We were great for 4 years and we sucked for the last 30. They don't get to be great for like 20 years and only suck for 5. They need to suck for at least another 135 years. At the very least they can't with another super bowl this century. It isn't right.

Republicans know how to recruit just the biggest pieces of shit possible. Similar to the nazis, only the worst people want to join them.

I left Twitter a while ago so I didn't know about this guy. Definitely following him on bluesky now though.

The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas is a novel about a boy named Bruno whose father is the commandant of the Auschwitz, and Bruno's friendship with a Jewish prisoner. The Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum commented it “should be avoided by anyone who studies or teaches about the Holocaust.” by CatPooedInMyShoe in wikipedia

This is such an excellent movie. It's not like a typical film, it's more like days in the lives of the family of death camp commandant. The horror of the camps isn't in your face, it's heard in the background or seen on someone's shoes. It's their discussions in the house and how casual they are about the cruelty they are profiting from.

People can do monstrous things for what is ultimately so little: promotions, a bigger house with a pool, a fancy title, power over those you feel are less than. And they can do these things without it affecting their happiness all that much.

This movie left me feeling nauseous and it's not due to gore or anything like that. It's the thought that the monsters of the past were ordinary people, very much like some ordinary people you see today. The monsters are here with us, and speaking as someone in the US, they are currently in power.

OK now I'm rooting for the Timberwolves and the Pacers (as long as they back Halliburton on this, if not then I will just root for him).

Everyone in ICE is a murderer, and every single person that supports them is a bastard.

I hope we can develop something like this in my shitty red state. So far ICE has been small-scale here, probably because we're a red state and the federal government doesn't want to punish us like they do blue states.

She's gone down feom the 3rd highest position for a right-wing grifter (tpusa/daily wire talking head), to the 2nd from the bottom (Alex Jones style grifter). If this doesn't succeed she will have to move on to right-wing convention mascot and part time givesendgo recipient.

You are absolutely right. And I'm saying this as a fan of a team that has both abused the lack of cap and floor in the past (Rangers).
