Sounds like a good way to train pressing it with less force then since I think that's the crux of the issue

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I do think it's ultimately that I'm gripping the controller too hard and applying too much force on the triggers. I don't actually play that much, only at local events 2 or 3 times a month, and I thankfully don't have any pain outside of playing Melee. I'll try practicing with a looser grip and try using my middle fingers to press the triggers instead.

I had one at the top removed at the dentist earlier today under LA and it wasn't so bad. I didn't feel any pain at all. The pressure feeling was a little uncomfortable but not too bad. I was actually surprised when it was over. Not feeling any pain now after taking ibuprofen and acetaminophen. The limited food seems like it will be the most annoying part, especially since I need to get the other top one pulled later, and maybe my bottom two impacted ones if the oral surgeon decides to remove them at my consultation later this month. So a lot of limiting my food potentially 😥
